But I wish he was a bit cooler, like tony.
'Gord' is cool
G-unit, you mean? The G man?
i couldnt think of anything cool in relation to the name Gordon. you are a better man than me.
After this last nightmarish decade of decadence and liberalism, we need a leader with a big broad back.
Communist and he's only got one eye. Better dead than red. He's doing well for himself though.
Interesting to see his recent rhetoric is heavy on identity and nation: 'I'm proud to be British'; 'this is who we are'; 'Britain has been tested and fought back.'
It's really calculated and generally I find nationalism and social conservatism naturally wrong. But I think it will work for him.
1) Nationalism doesn't work for any politician. Or should I say, as soon as it starts being utilised by politicians, it stops working. We're a very unique country in that regard.
2) While appreciating that you're calling him a commie semi-seriously, I'd characterise him more as a lapsed commie - that breed of politician that was a proper red at uni, got in politics, realised that literally nothing about the policy has any chance of working, and via a combination of churning bitterness and hard decision making, becomes progressively more right wing.
CAUTION: Can cause John Reid. That twunt.
Something about him puts me at ease.
But if he calls an election for October, it'll be an error.
You think the longer he holds off, the more people will like him?
I've got no basis for this other than my own feelings though...
...and all the polls.
That said, I believe their current high ratings are due more to the chronic uselessness of the Tories and LDs rather than people all suddenly realising "Actually Gordon... he's okay!"
There's also a lot to be said for the argument that Cameron isn't actually useless, and will, given a bit of time, prove to be a worthy opponent and that Brown should try and get rid of him now.
But I think it's a massive risk, Brown's got to prove himself rather than relying on other people being crap.
I think there's plenty of room for Cameron to get worse actually, and if the Tories choose to get rid of him I honestly don't know who they could replace him with. Plus it would be a bad move to have an election after the Norther Rock thing.
Do not repeat the tactics which have gained you one victory, but let your methods be regulated by the infinite variety of circumstances.
...tactics are like unto water; for water in its natural course runs away from high places and hastens downwards.
So in war, the way is to avoid what is strong and to strike at what is weak.
Water shapes its course according to the nature of the ground over which it flows; the soldier works out his victory in relation to the foe whom he is facing.
Therefore, just as water retains no constant shape, so in warfare there are no constant conditions.
He who can modify his tactics in relation to his opponent and thereby succeed in winning, may be called a heaven-born captain.
Cameron might have seemed like hot shit when placed next to his exact analogue - Tony Blair, then hated and worn down. But Gordon Brown is not the same kind of politician or person as Blair, and for Cameron to be using the same tactics - waffling on about the environment, when no-one really cares, and making nonsense policy statements on issues Labour already has sewn up...
...that's a little naive.
But then, it's easy to forget: Who the fuck is David Cameron anyway? No-one had even heard of him this time 2 years ago.
Brown won't be happy until everybody has a chip inserted in them that gives precise real-time details of everything they do.
he only has one eye?
If you look when he's reading stuff (that he obviously did not prepare himself) he sort of reads lopsidedly. It's not something he widely advertises because it makes him sound like too much of a PIRATE.
Aside, I like him. Or I gave up long ago on tyring to understand politicians, so for an overpaid, silvertongued, lazy, under-delivering cyclops, I love him.
for their level of power
Are they not? I always imagined them as rolling in it with butlers and stuff..
PM gets about 180k or something. There are Civil Servants earning more than that.
that they don't pay for the butler because he "comes with the house".
So there you go.
...and he has two eyes. One just doesn't work all that well.
Sorry, that was politicians in general, not Gord.
he has a glass eye!
He doesn't have a glass eye.
it's "artificial" therefore the modern day equivalent of a glass eye.
Or just a fancy word for a glass eye.
He has a glass eye!
Are you using Wiki as a source?!
But look at Wiki's source.
I'm about 90% convinced, but just to be sure - I want you to get Gordon on the phone right now. Let's settle this.
