Mine's been unexpectedly awesome.
i'm still not dressed, and i feel like crap, but it was great.
I finally did some shopping, got all my washing done, cleaned, made a new mate, hung out with recently made mates, drank and I think I'm off out later.
Other than that, I had some nice conversation with nice people
I washed my favourite pullover
at work today, had a stir fry and watched a scanner darkly + motd with some wine and friends last night.
a finished a book is all I have to show though :D
(as in reading unfortunately)
Arsenal continued their unbeaten run.
I finished recording some Stealthtones - with extra added OTT orchestral goodness.
I ate well.
I read well.
went out of town to my parents and roasted marshmellows in the fire in the backyard.
yellow, gold red leaves all over the ground. i took my bunny and he investigated and tried to convince me he could survive out there. he doesn't realize winter is coming.
saturday was already, i was pretty mopey.
today i'm feeling pretty euphoric because someone likes me who i thought didnt think i was cute anymore!
yay! and i'm listening to Saves The Day, HA!
..sorry I have been watching lots of TV with french subtitles
lots of cycling, which i have taken to with many smiles
I saw lots of cyclists in town today, did think of you. Clothed, obviously.
Weekend was okay; Friday a friend showed up at midnight with lots of wine and we stayed up drinking til (stupidly) 6am, yesterday was spent feeling sorry for myself and lounging on the sofa (Tribe was pretty great though), and today I've spent battling the shoppers on Oxford Street, and saw a really quite old work colleague in a coffee shop with a girl who looked about 18. Hmm.
Got some pretty good stuff for my newphews though. I'd just like to say I NEVER EVER want to go into a sports/clothing shop ever, ever again. And what's the fucking deal with footballs? 'oh the official one costs £55'. WHAT?
but i have much enjoyed my weekend and plan to get a bike soon (i borrowed the one i've been using for the last few days) so naked ride next year! also critical mass.
just got in from saturday night seeing erol alkan and evil nine. was a long and messy night but very enjoyable. have vague memories of standing in the middle of a club with my pants down...
i love evil nine and erol alkan - need I say more...?
at the uni, glimmers were supposed to be playing too but their flight was cancelled or something. was amaaaaaaazing.
well Friday was
On the way back to my house me and my friend walked past Oxfam and saw a crowd. We went to see only to see the Yeah Yeah Yeahs preparing a set! They performed their EP to an audience no larger then say about 50! It was insane I was like 6foot away from Karen O.
When I got home people started arriving for my house party, which unfourtenetly got crashed, over 100 people must of been there at one point. After lots of noise and hassel it got sorted out and we had a nice party, that lasted till 9am!
spent last night pilled up in some crappy club until 10am this morning. I actually found the experience rather boring. Feeling like I've runied the weekend and the week is beginning way too soon tomorrow.
in a dazed state of "this is exactly
the same as last weekend and the weekend
before that" kind way
Yesterday I went for lunch with my aunt and uncle and cousin, who id never met until yesterday. The food was great and my cousin (hamish) invited me to his 3rd birthday party! Well in!
Today I went to the french market and walked about. It's brilliant. Merchant city area of glasgow looks like new york when it's closed off, and it's brilliant.
But scotland got thumped at rugby :(
At least it was by new zealand and not moldova or something
I went to work yesterday and had to watch Harry FUCKING Potter for the 20-somethingth time, and then Superbad. Then it was day one of Freshers week, met some lovely people. Been at work again today, and saw Evan Almighty (which was o-kay...pretty childish but mindless entertainment), then Atonement AGAIN, just come home to roast dinner, and going out to more Freshers stuff in a bit. Good all round really!
I don't mean that in a rubbish teenage kinda "LOLZ I was so wasted" kinda way... I just don't think I did anything worth remembering. Pretty boring really...
Oooh! wait! Friday was awesome - I met the rosie taylor project and did a lovely interview with them, and saw Jeffrey Lewis, who was brilliant.
Other than that... pretty boring.
decided to go home at 2pm this afternoon for various reasons. I now intend to sleep forever.
now i'm stressing about money and about how i'm not going to be able to sleep and how i properly start my full-time job tomorrow and how this'll be the first week i work full-time hours and, it'll be okay.
I could've done with it being much longer though :(
Didn't sleep for 24 hours, went straight to work on sat morning, then went straight to some scummy pub in south London. Dragging a holdall and three bags of equipment through Deptford without any food for the whole day. Filled my stomach with jagermeister. The rest of Saturday evening was a blur.
I just woke up with a bruise on the side of my chest and I've lost £140 worth of equipment.
A phone call to a friend informs me that I had a massive drunken hissy fit to some incompetent promoters in front of a packed pub of strangers. But apparently a fat, sleep deprived, drunk, pissed off Asian bloke trying to coax feedback from a guitar amp that wasn't plugged in was great entertainment for the scenesters present.
So apparently Saturday was pretty good.
But I think i want to cry because I lost my kaosspad.
drink some milk
BUT, I am now using my brand new 18th birthday computer, with cable broadband.
Cable > wireless.
Am I right?
Had a quiet friday after thursday nights escapades, played the PES2008 demo, which was geektastic.
Saturday Reading won, which made me very happy as we desperately needed a win.
Gig in the evening for the Half A Pigeon Zine launch- played in 2 bands on the same bill, which is possibly the most knackering thing ever. I think we did ok considering our guitarist snapped his hand off during the week or something, and we had to improv a bit. We had a gunge pit instead of a mosh-pit, which was predictably messy. The floor was in an slippery condition well suited to moonwalking by the end of the night. I don't think the venue were too happy though, hahaha.
Sunday played football in the rain, my hamstring now hurts, aarrggh!
It was amazing. That is all.
went to brighton yesterday morning to record some stuff and stayed up all night doing so, + drinking wine and joking about. v pleased with what we did. slept from 11am til 7pm today, feel like shit now - that bit not so good.
Met this little Hollyoaks extra. She was fairly hott, and massively nice.
Went soul dancing.
Friday night was spent at home - I can't actually remember what happened...
Saturday erm. I did a thorough clean of the oven and kitchen, watched England women go out of the World Cup in predictable fashion, went and looked at pushchairs and prams and to the in-laws for dinner. But I did have 3 cans of Becks Vier!
Yesterday we paid the priest for overseeing our nuptials a fortnight ago, and then whilst watching MOTD, The Championship and Goals on Sunday started writing Thank You cards. Then we watched Groundhog Day, had a lie down, cooked chicken in breadcrumbs, watched the start of Premier League Allstars (just awful), listened to last week's Non League Show on BBC Radio London and watched MOTD 2.
I'm very hungover now.
My farts smell awful, I pity everyone in this office who isn't me
I had a 12 hour drinking binge from 4pm Friday, so on Saturday I lay on the sofa wimpering.
On Sunday I cleaned stuff, lots of it and really properly including all the oven top and the fridge and washing floors and doing all my washing and now my house is loooovely :) Then I went to a big pub in Camden with Portsmouth people and drank lager shandies. Was lovely.
I worked on saturday and sunday, so I didn't really have one, but I made okay money
Been to work a lot though.
Caught up with some friends. Had a good time going out after work on friday and saturday despite the fact I was driving so could only have one alcoholic drink.
On saturday I witnessed my mother slapping her younger sister around the face because she told her to 'fuck off'. I didn't know she had in her to do something like that. I had a massive grin on my face.
Now I'm trying to sort out uni stuff, where the staff are the most unhelpful people ever.
good, really good, really really good, horrible, really good, really amazingly good, not bad, pretty good, swell, brilliant, average, horribly heartbreaking.
culminating in driving through Chelsea
3 isn't THAT bad
