Well, perhaps presumptious isn't the right word, but you know what I mean
It's a bit difficult to judge when to do it and does carry the risk of the other person saying "oh, hold on a minute...". It's like referring to someone as your girlfriend for the first time but in writing whch makes it worse.
at least if that happens, the only person who will find out is your partner
and frankly, if you can't even communicate these things effectively, its a bit of a shit relationship yes/no?
that i was in a relationship with kirsten dunst. therefore i no longer care about it at all.
I'm not updating it, mainly for the above reason. But also because I don't want to concede any ground in this crucial early battle for power
I'm joking, of course
if you're not actually in a relationship and only stalking the sweet young thing.
so its like 'hey look at me and my relationship!'. when in fact you could just be updating your profile.
You can alter the news feed settings under privacy.
so itll still send it out, i just dont have to read other peoples?
of any of the things you do, including changing relationship status. What you read depends on the settings of your friends
and I'm not HAHAAH.
It tricks all these people I'm reacquainted with but don't really know (or like).
A girl from school I was a bit mean to added me yesterday and I've just got an email saying I've got a message from her.
I feel overwhelmingly guilty and a bit scared..
And then tell us the gist
It'll say, 'Hi how you doing, what you up to at the moment, are you really married. BTW, you were a complete bitch at school and I still hate your guts.'
but assumed you hadn't really eloped!
wait for her to do it first.
'cos all women love indecisiveness and a lack of commitment.
But that means you and I could never embark upon a relationship, as it'd no doubt be one huge stand-off
great way to start you fucking loser.
i told ollie. he said "ha ha"
Especially considering Ollie is friends with the girl in question, you egg
My myspace has had 'swinger' on it since I opened the account... Do people really care about that sort of shit? I never have...
As my current status says I'm married to a girl called Julie, who I've never met before
But well done for not caring
Pretty soon there'll just be my name and then a blank page and that'll be it.
you'll disappear completely.
I'll start vanishing from photos that I'm in, just like in Back To The Future.
before I changed my statuses on Myspace/Facebook.
I didn't want to curse it :(
"In an open relationship with [Company Name]"
Balls to other people knowing what I'm putting in who.
for 10 months before our status changed.
We like to be sure of these things :)
and a guy at work called me a fool saying I was now under the thumb. He's been with his gf for 4 years, they live together, and he has down as "It's Complicated"!
By the time my Significant Other got Facebook, we'd been together for a while and had already agreed we were together..
However, his little story of how we met (the "friend detail" crap) was far from true. Though quite humorous.
I wanted it to be with myself, but Facebook said "You cannot be in a relationship with yourself". Facebook: SO not emo.
but I was worried I wouldn't be able to handle the rejection.
"In a relationship"
could also cause complications/weirdness for people
Ha. It's just like the really public announcement of boyfriend and girlfriend status isn't it, with the implied exclusivity that brings, rather than being people who are 'dating' or 'seeing each other' or whatever.
Except for the comedy status people of course, who are 99% single.
just a bit. That's one of the things about facebook all your "friends" can see most of your actions.
dreading the sight of a certain someone's name with the sentence "is now in a relationship", or is that just me?
If it happens I'll run away.
what made me laugh was seeing 'x has approved your relationship request'.
