Anyone been through this ordeal?
its PAC - Port Authorisation Code.
T-Mobile wanted to charge me to release mine after I shifted away from them. I elected to wait until I could get it for free. I'm now on my fifth consecutive call to try and get them to release it after being put on hold for up to 20 minutes, being transferred SIX times to the wrong department and having the line go dead TWICE. And I'm told they won't stop charging me line rental until the PAC (thanks again no really) code is used by my new provider even though my contract is now expired.
Even on your way out of the service, they exist solely to squeeze ever last fucking penny out of you.
It seems really fucked up. Sorry to hear you're taking the shit.
you need to speak to the r&d or cancellations team. ask for a pc and it is generated straight away(as long as you're out of commitment).
once you give it to your new network they take 5 working day to transfer the number over, all the while your account is still with t-mobile and as you said, is still being charged for.
I'm very fucked off with this whole process. My phone is currently lying next to my keyboard. It's playing the fourth song I've been on hold for.
get my one. It was a nightmare, in the end they offered me a really good deal, so i stayed.
So I have 7 days of carry around 2 phones like a really geeky G and a week where I am being charged line rental by two companies simultaneously. Ace.
