even though full well they know you weren't really involved with it.
wut is going on?
Apparently the DJs went on too late into the night and the bands (ok, specifically us) were too loud and, so I am told, Lunch and Alex ignored any requests to turn down their respective amps. Plus I think people left a bit of a mess and it's caused a couple of problems.
I can see why they're pissed off but at the same time I didn't organise the gig and the person who's come to me with all these problems knows full well I didn't organise the gig 'cos she was the one liasing with Alex so I don't know why she's coming to me with all these probelms. Sure, the sound it sort of our band's fault if they did ignore requests to turn down (I've no idea if they did or not) but the rest of it is simply nothing to do with me so I don't know why I'm getting the blame!
Lunch = Awkward Silences guitarist
Alex = Awkward Silences bassist
Part of me feels pissed off that this girl who was the contact at the squat where we played has got in trouble through no fault of her own.
Part of me just finds it quite funny that, in a gig at an anarchist squat, we've got in trouble for breaking the rules!
all sound like right arseholes :)
I think some of the people I talk about on here (and the ones I moan about at least) are people I associate with due to music & stuff but wouldn't necessarily say were friends. Others I maybe put across badly. Maybe some are arseholes. The people in my band are actually nice guys.
I'd be pissed off if the volume stuff is true but, at the same time, suspect it was more not hearing than intentionally ignoring people. Lunch in particular I can absolutley not imagine ignoring requests to turn the guitars down 'cos he's far too nice a guy but I can easily imagine getting really into the gig and not hearing what's going on around him.
Alex, who organised the gig, I suspect didn't entirely grasp what was expected of him via the place we did the gig but I don't think it was malicious so much as a communication breakdown.
At the same time the girl who complained to me is a friend of mine and I am pretty pissed off that she's got into trouble.
