The Big Lebowski
The Big Heat
The Big Combo
The Big Country
The Big Bus
The Big Steal
you forgot Big Trouble In Little China.
always difficult to know how to categorize it...
also a crossover film into blues
blues brothers, betty blue, derek jarman's blue, three colours blue
My Cousin Vinny
Weekend at Bernie's
North by Northwest
I watched Lucky Number Slevin last night, which despite the odd title, was quite good.

Dead Mans shoes

Requiem For A Dream
Eternal Sunshine Of the spotless mind
purely for "Keep the change ya filty animal"
willard, hedwig and the angry inch, buffalo soldiers
Dumber & Dumberer the other night... It was alright.
'Graveyard of the fireflies (or is it grave of the fireflies) ....like the saddest film.
talking of sad
'all quiet on the western front'
'johnny got his gun'
''oh what a lovely war' (if you can get thru to the end, the ending is a real tear jerker ....but you have to see it all really)
'farenheit 451', good film fantastic beautiful ending.
'slaughterhouse 5' flawed but a great attempt to translate a difficult book to translate to film
'If' (follow up viewing 'IF' with 'fight club' I think they are brethren)
Gilliam, lynch, kubrick, and Ridley scott all great film makers
but id like to sing the praises particularly of Ridley scots 'the duelists' because it is one of the most beautifully photographed films ever.
David Leans films are all mostly great too. the opening scenes from great expectations have never been bettered for atmosphere (imo) and I love Dr Zhivargo, no matter what others may say.
I enjoy ken russel films they are very colourful (lurid) and fun. Billion dollar brain and lair of the white worm are all good and light hearted.
check out the 'hammer horror films (and amicus) there are gems in there.
Corman did some great stuff with vincent price.
Oh who did The abonimal Dr phibes, and the return of'? these are like more extreme versions of 'theatre of blood'
psycho, the birds, vertigo, witchfinder general, the wickerman, get carter, oh luckyman, this sporting life, blood on satans claw
too many films
oooooh theres a really psychadelic film with the monkees called 'head' thats great.
vanishing point is fun (and eulogised by primal scream.
Oooh and dont miss out on barberella, simply the most fun you can have with rubbish fx
its great (although it will mean a lot more to some than others)
but also a beautiful love story amongst the madness
Series 1 of The Wire.
Then Series 2.
this has filled up my list nicely :)
I just sat and watched this and it's amazing. Also, 12 Angry Men which has also already been mentioned but also gets my vote.
funeral parade of roses
night of the demon
the bad seed
are some that i've enjoyed recently.
if you're into suspense and the classics, it's a great film.
ive seen recently: crash (good not great), city of god, battle royale and diner
One of my favourite films, glad someone else has seen it.
bloody hell, what a film.
but I titled it wrong so no one responded. I shall steal suggestions from this thread, thank you!
