This week there are added quick links to access daily pages. What other changes would you like to see?
but as a suggestion, a quick review of local / web based ticket providers, noting their facilities, locations and typical surcharges, would go down well.
But, generally, the gig list doesn't comment upon anything associated with gigs.
Also, for people wanting tickets for gigs that are likley to be sold out, a weekly gig list is too late for them.
i think it's pretty much perfect.
i wish there was one of those for cardiff. ents24.com doesn't really cut it.
it hurts the eyes, suggests anger, and makes me want to read something else.
And.. some gig reviews! :D
Yes, gig reviews
Let me know what you think
if they have websites, so folk can get directions and such like if its a random one.
Both links to their websites/myspace apges, and also links to a map showing the location of the venue
didn't get that far down, i meant in the listings.
I may do that next week -
Or maybe you use one to create the final product in any case?
Made it a lot easier to input gigs. I just haven't had the time for the last year to put anything in.
And these days I think Last.FM's database is looking really good so I probably wouldn't bother again.
It's all HTML
And it's mostly cut and paste and changing the band name
The time taken to compile is mostly taken by looking for the gigs and then, if necessary, looking for a band's address
The writing itself doesn't take long at all
I still had to type in the venue name, band name, etc (though only partially to search the database) but the resulting display then automatically included links to all three in the listing.
It was definitely quicker than just doing it by hand in HTML and obviously redesigning the output was a lot easier.
