Is it wrong...
...to vaguely want the McCanns to be involved in the disappearance/death? (if this is what's happened, obviously I'd want the girl to be safe and alive) If purely to stop the hyteria that is whipped up by these kinds of cases and to hopefully make Daily Mail reading mornons understand that in the vast majority of child abuse/abduction/murder cases it is the family or people known to the suspect who are involved, and it isn't some boogeyman on the street with his webcam and myspace, and that maybe people should fucking think about this.
