Not sure what my point is but anyway thought it worthy of comment.
but every time i see these i think about the hundreds or perhaps even thousands of children who go missing in the UK every year, and my heart goes out to how their parents must be feeling, seeing the publicity that's being given to those families, but weren't to their own at the time of disappearance.
and some of these other kids might genuinely have been alive for a while.
Although what I also think about is that kid whose torso was found in the Thames a couple of years back where nobody seemed to even know who he was.
It's not quite the same thing but about two years back my flatmate's best friend at work got murdered on his way back from a night out in London. The same night a pretty student was murdered in another part of London. In a sense the attacks were very similar in a sense (both appeared to be random attacks from strangers and, as I recall, I don't think either were sexually asaulted) but the girl got far, far more coverage. And of course I'm not saying it wasn't terrible that a pretty young student got murdered but it's equally bad that a less-pretty young guy gets murdered too.
Of 12 different Daily express front pages.
All had "MADELINE" written in bold, larger letters than the rest, and with a picture of her next to it.
It could apply to pretty much every single thread on the social board...
its rarely funny, but its sometimes good.
(I wasnt reading it, by the way. A friend was)
Colemanballs is good though
Some of the best investigative journalism anywhere. Not always funny - often depressing - but still always worth a quid fifty.
sometimes it is genuinely funny, but its just good for a cynical look at stuff
your insane mangling of apostrophes.
That apostrophe's awful. What the hell was I thinking?
