i need some stats!
this thread will determine whether i go to the doctor so he can prescribe me nurofen again.
or i'll send you daily updates of my life
it depends on what you do while you have it. If you can just stay in bed, a day or 2. If you have to get up, work, do stuff etc it drags on for about a week.
Not a medically-approved opinion though...
there, I said it
I mean, if you're skimping on the fruit, drinking vast amounts of caffeine and alcohol and not giving yourself a good night's rest then you'll have to expect such things...
i've been ill for 6 weeks.
is it still orange juice?
i'm ill ok
i came back in july. since then i have felt tired and had a hacking cough for 2 months. then oin monday i got another cold.
i'm never usually ill
i dont eat a lot of meat.
i eat fresh vegetable for dinner every
i've (nearly) given up smoking
and then you don't need to worry about anything else...
I don't know, about 3 weeks?
"Three days coming, three days here, three days going" about colds. Sounds about right to me, I've just hit the "three days here" bit. Meh.
3 days coming
3 days here
3 days going
I've had a hacking cough since I got back from Roskilde, it was constant for the first 3 weeks, now it only happens if I run, get surprised or breathe a bit of fluid the wrong way. Then I cough so hard I want to puke. I've calculated that at this rate I'll be cough free in another month.
That thing about being ill and staying in is true, it goes much quicker than if you go to work and go out in the evening. Expect it to last 3 months if you just ignore it. You've ignored it long enough now that if you try staying in and being good to make it go away, it'll just think you're an idiot and just laugh in your face with an excess of bile.
Otherwise no extra credit for you.
BIG COUGH - 4 WEEKS
MEDIUM COUGH - 4 WEEKS
LITTLE COUGH (just started) - 4 WEEKS.
I've got a Maths A-Level dontcha know.
Using mucus as the subject?
I had exactly the same symptoms for 6 weeks, didn't go to the doctor cause I thought it was just a cold, then eventually gave in, got the antibiotics and felt fine within a couple of days.
It'll take 15 minutes and cost a fiver, I think its worth it.
Love conquers all. Including colds. Just wash it down with a bit of actual cold medicine.
