is it wrong for me to be quite excited about its return?
God no! Not that unfunny, patronising piece of tripe. A comic disaster :(
but it's Graham Linehan's weakest work so far.
but what am I?
i enjoyed it, ridiculous as it was
Some gags are really good, and Richard Ayode is absolutely brilliant in almost everything he does (including this, just)... But it is still pretty average.
Richard Ayoade = brilliant. The rest = utter cock rot.
Matt Berry is God.
one of the worst comedies on channel 4, probably even worse than green wing.
So so bad.
Fancy the ginge though, even though she is about as funny as cock pox.
it crowd is poor
Do you like Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps?
I thought this was going to be about a DiS clique: Theo, myself and others
made me laugh.
That was good too.
Just for Richard Ayoade and Chris Morris:
'Eight cyclists. Dead. All my fault'
And, pointing to a picture frame on his desk:
'See that picture? That's my team. The A Team!' Camera zooms in on picture of B.A.
Pretty average, but with moments of genius. SO THERE
It wasn't ALL good but it had it's moments. I only saw a couple of eps (episodes) like.
i've had the misfortune of catching most of the last series on channel four and, good god, i think i LOLed only one in the entire series.
Otherwise, it's pretty unfunny.
Passed by 'Three Belly Laughs Per Episode' test.
And the bit where the goth gives the old lady the Cannibal Corpse CD at the funeral made it into my list of Golden Comedy Moments.
only laugh out loud moment of the first series. fact.
profanity buzzer. Text book.
Graham Linehan it was his first attempt at writting something himself and for the new series he has got Arthur Mathews (his partner from Father Ted) involved.
So hopefully this will help, its another comedy that needs time to evolve and develop, and it doesn't help that the first series got so much promotion and hype.
It’s here! ‘It Crowd’ series 2 kicks off tonight on Channel 4 at 9.30. I can’t do self-promotion so I’ll keep it short. It’s really funny.
Lem asked me about my ‘process’. I write the whole thing on my own in a room, working from notes I’ve collected over a number of months, using various tricks to keep things interesting. Index cards, for instance. Here’s a taste of what’s in store in series 2, in index card form.
Looks good, huh?
The series took a while to write because when there’s only one of you, things do take a bit longer. Sorry about the wait, and sorry there’s only six episodes, but really, if there’d been eight episodes, two of them would have been bollocks.
Anyway, I hope you like it! Baby needs shoes!
"Muuuuuuuuuum! You're making it go back iiiiiiiiiiin!"
definitely the best bit of the first series.
It's SO bad.
ie. Big Brother and the friday night project.
BUT when held up to other comedies, not so good. Then again, most UK comedy is pretty shit at the moment.
:D :D :D
there's just something intrinsically funny about pretending to be disabled
First series was pretty poor, but I liked it tonight. Roy going into that bus on the lift very very slowly got an actual real laugh from me, nice to see Noel Fielding in it again as well.
funnier than all of the last series probably, apart from noel fielding, who is just painfully unfunny.
