if you have a secure enough garden, the RSPCA (or some similar charity) will let you have a defective hedgehog of some kind. If they are "partially sighted" or missing a leg etc, they can't be let back into the wild, but they can come and live in your garden.
someone call the RSPCA.
to warn them about you.
they live under the shed and Molly got ticks from them.
but actually I realised I may never have seen a hedgehog in real life, or if I did it was over 20 years ago.

They don't have hedgehogs in Australia, or squirrels. The latter are easy to see but the former a bit trickier. You can tell you're around Aussies when a squirrel appears because they all get fascinated by them.
It's like me with the possum when I was down there.
she's so jealous that we used to see hedgehogs all the time back home in oxfordhsire. She's still never seen one
the national hedgehog sanctuary is in aylsebury. I don't know why I know this.
Yeah I saw that. It's a bit far out and also I wasn't sure you'd be able to pick them up.
