I stole a torch pen from Woolies years ago.Pretty pointless item
but I once got stopped by security when leaving Sainsbury's with 2 bags of shopping.
I'd been using the self-service tills and the security helpfully reminded me I'd actually forgotten to pay...
Pro-Set Cards. Lots of them. From John Menzies.
And a copy of 'Can You Forgive Her?' by the Pet Shop Boys on cassette single from Burton-on-Trent Woolies.
I had totally forgotten them. They seemed to be some people's core reason for living.
I was an accomplice. Don't tell the filth where I'm hiding.
*suspect is hatless*.
used to shoplift as an actual activity that we planned to do. Mostly make up and jewellery from the market. But did Boots and Miss Selfridge once or twice - scariest thing ever!!
I have no idea why, I'm a good girl really. It stopped because her Mum found out and made me confess to my Mum. Her Mum made her throw away everything that she'd stolen and she did! Why didn't she just make out like it was a couple of things and just keep the rest of the booty?
I will forever be an enigma and you know it
I'm always shocked by how people have done this. I'd have been far too scared of getting caught.
That's why we RAN AWAY when we got out of the shop. The first illicit play of Can You Firgive Her felt soooo good though.
most definitely! And recently. Always fun to do on a night out...chocolate bars and similar small stuff here and there, beer and bottles if the mood takes! Quite fun.
would not shoplifting expand your bank balance?
Shoplifting = cool/a necessity
plus I said it twice.
really need to lighten up.
what are the benefits in growing up?
Plus, my fist will be growing up into your face in a second if you don't pipe down.
not! Well, they are still reeling from the shock of the gritty London streets so they probably aren't yet able to employ their faculties for imagination and/or irony!
Can he or someone else explain what he was trying to say?
do people still actually hold truck with morals? Hasn't 'Beyond Good and Evil' taught us nothing?!
Western values mean nothing to ... erm ... her
Terra...what is a Moral? Are you a Christian?
I would love to! It's a date!
between someone not stealing sutff and someone being a "square" or having a "workaday buttoned down life". It's honestly never made any logical sense to me at all.
I know people who break minor laws all the time but are incredibly boring people with incredibly boring lives and I know very interesting and unconventional people who don't break any laws at all.
Anyone who believes that shoplifting or other minor criminal acts automatically makes someone more interestng is at best over-romantacising things and at worst plain wrong.
he is necessarily talking about shoplifting. More the inability to STOP BEING SO LITERAL ABOUT EVERYTHING YOU DO, READ AND SEE! It's actually becoming frightening.
I didn't see how the rest of your response made any sense in terms of my post. I'm not sure if you didn't read it or read it but didn't understand it but I genunely don't thing the rest of what you said was in any way connected to what I said. Or if it was you didn't explain it very well.
its sad when people immediately jump on their high horses when there is a certain amount of irony involved in what is being said!
I love the expression High Horse.
HMV used to have a pretty poor security system so when I was about 13 I used to steal cd's to order and sell them at school, not proud of that
i hate stealing.
except for booze. that doesn't count.
who couldn't afford pay for his sons life saving opeation
the nameless, faceless "bars"
i'm too much of a wuss
although i once accidentally stole a perfume from boots when i forgot to pay for it. I was terrified for months that they had security camera's on me and i'd have to go to the police :(
that they might have had security cameras. this was only about 2 months ago
and there was a can of paint.. and a wall. it was inevitable
I'd be way too scared to try nything else. Plus I don't wat to, as it is very naughty.
sweets, drinks, pens n stuff when i was younger.
I was baaaad to the bone!
I had a phase of getting free kebabs just because no one happened to ask for any money.
I had a free kebab in Cologne once because of this. The Germans are very welcoming.
I forgot to pay at a resteraunt recently, I wouldn't count it though as there was no malice involved, I just forgot
from a select magazine, dunno why I was such a cheapskate and didnt just buy it, I used to steal one kinder egg a week from the same place, whenever I went in there they would shout 'don't steal kerrang' but that was my friend. Ah youth.
circa 1995. I never completed the album. My friend Andrew practically stole the whole box.
i used to do it loads when I was 13 but then I accidentally left a "shoplifting list" lying around and my dad's wife found it and came to visit me when i had a bag full of stuff. pretty jokes.
'my puppet pal' by tiger. thereby denying an independent record store the 99p at which it was priced.
of screws from Salways Hardware when my Dad took me there to buy some. I must of been small, like nursery school small, because I remember putting them in my dungarees front pocket. My mum found them when she did the laundry and made me take them back the next day. :(
was playstation controllers and memory cards, and blank cds a lot, and sweets.
Its alright when your young as youre naive and foolish and have no money. to do it now though just means your a petty criminal.
it did make me feel odd but they were only selling them in packets of 200 and I only wanted 4! Give me some choice B and Q or I will have to steal nails.
