either completely or enough to make a change for the better?
after a combination of St Patrick's Day/Ireland beating England/being dumped lead to me drinking somewhere in the region of 30 pints of Guinness in a day and a half.
I lost a stone! I put it straight back on again as soon as I recommenced.
seven pints last night. wasted.
I've lost a little weight and generally felt more healthy and happy.
when I get a full time job I'll drink less. It probably just means I'll drink more when I do get the chance to :(
in our blood. Don't fight it. Nothing wrong with a bit of fire now and then; just take up jogging on the side and your body'll be a bit more sympathetic.
mainly because I lived in Poland last year and would have a bottle before I went out. And now I just find it too expensive to get drunk.
Also I don't do mildly drunk. It seems to be all or nothing. That can't be good.
How much does everyone drink on a typical night? and how many are you supposed to have a week?
21 units for boys, 14 for girls.
I drink a lot less in the week these days by choice just because drinking lots isn't a particularly nice feeling.
2 months teetotal during my second term at uni.
I will also give up during my second term. Also it will leave me more money to go to gigs, especially as I am usually chronically short of cash as a result of two or three heavy nights of drinking a week.
when I was on medication for anxiety. I didn't notice any change in my health however.
medication and wow is it ever more fun! but i do get waaaay too drunk and cant walk home proper...
It was very good for me. These days, I drink very little and life is much better.
i managed to give up for a few days earlier this month, but I have trouble not drinking.
although I do NEEDto cut down, as I have entirely lost the concept of danger whilst drinking,,
probably. Soon. I think. Is it wrong that I quite enjoy being hungover?
living in canada
and eating a lot of good food
Sounds like I'm bigging myself up but literally, I used to drink like a fish. Then I got ill and I had to give up boozing. Then, this year, I had to give up completely.
I haven't touched a drop in about 4 months. I used to miss it every day, now I only miss it when I go out.
It takes a while but your head eventually stops remembering what it's like to be drunk and you can go to clubs and all that wank and it's still pretty cool.
Another weekend passes where I did little other than drink. Fun!
for nearly a year, and still don't drink more than 4 units in a night. i've found it very easy but then i have had a pretty big motivation and don't know how easy it would've been otherwise. also circumstances dictate i don't really go out at the moment anyway. HOWEVER I would recommend it (not drinking), I think so much more clearly these days, and my weekends are no longer lost to hangovers so I get so much more done.
