Good luck everybody!
And I managed to get into uni so frankly anyone can. Even if your results might not be what you expected.
but i hope every gets what they want and if you don't get that; i hope you get what you need.
best wishes, have a good day and then have a great night.
but then I feel like a bit of a tit, especially in the face of needing all the luck in myself...
That said, I got into Leeds. Score!
Good luck to anybody getting them, I have total faith in all DiSsers passing.
The fact I got into uni should show that it's much easier than you'd think.
i just realised that i don't know where is good to go in the city anymore as most places appall me.
you can't go wrong with sandinista though. mine's a mojito.
though in the face of messing up Music a bit, I might well just change to straight English...
At some point soon, I have to listen to Thunder Road very loudly. There's all the celebration I need...
freerangefrog today. I'm actually nervous for her.
Good luck Chloe, from an equally hungover rich
I got a message last night that ended 'Walking home scary girls eeek...'
I wonder if they got her?
i mean. um, I hope everyone gets what they wanted, or near to it, and is able to do what they want to do next because of it.
I know mine are AS, but I'm still quite nervous. Gotta go to the school in about an hour for Sociology, then come back home for my other 3.
But yeah, I can repeat and stuff, so it could be worse.
You will be fine.
(I'm afraid I have no idea the difference between as and a levels as I copped out and did a btec)
an A in French
a B in English
a C in Psychology
and a C in General Studies
seven years ago
i have to go pick mine up in 40 minutes and i'm starving and there's no milk in the house and i want breakfast! ARGHHHHGHGHGh
oh you can check track now if you want
i got a D in economics and Es in history and government & politics.
which was strange, because i understand basically nothing in the 2 years i studied economics.
but not so surprising, because in history i attempted a question on a subject we'd not really been taught.
GIVE THIS MAN STRAIGHT A'S!!!!!
i know you'll do well, nothing to worry about. don't overdo the PP tonight tho.
doesn't this mean it's now a year since we met and the first time i got to carry you because you were too drunk to move?
awwww, the memories <3
OMG that's the last time I wore my jumper with the stripes on it.
I got hammered on cider if I remember rightly. Which I probably don't, because I was hammered on cider.
Although Flickr seems to think it's tomorrow, but that's probably when I uploaded it.
all the rest of your photos of that night are either incredibly blurred or include brainlove :D
to my comments about cider above :)
and i've also learnt to fly in the last year. weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
I think it was bamos and crablin singing something.
Also, didn't freerangefrog end up with her face on my thigh thanks to collapsing or something unseemly.
oh man, this could've been me!

A-levels - easiest things I've ever done. Good luck to the youths.
SCOTLAND NEVER GOT A "GOOD LUCK" THREAD LAST WEEK
i've heard its just north of london and santa claus lives there. Never seen him, mind.
"exams are getting easier" blah blah blah
blah blah blah
maybe teachers are better getting the hang of teaching the courses as the years go by?
Plus, up here it works as "top 10% get an A".
Maybe there are just more people at school = more As
It's a tired argument, but I think most people can agree that teachers are now just more adept at teaching kids to pass specific exams, as opposed to teaching a more encompassing curriculum
I could probably explain that better
IS MY COLLEGE DOING IN THE PHOTO!
this is his busiest day of the year. last year his overlord tried to make him wear a call centre headset.
Full marks in this year's English literature modules (and only 8 marks off full marks overall), full marks in a Geography module and full marks in a history module.
*ACTUALLY MEGA SMUG*
getting full marks in a History module is pretty fly, right? It was the only proper A-level I did that I didn't get 100%.
My history marks were really weird. I did really well on the Coursework and British History and disastrously on the European history.
you still got an A :)
but just under an A overall... so yeah im dissapointted, but its not a disaster as we both still got into our places!
I feel sorry for the poor people not getting into places they had their hearts set on. thats the real disaster!
that's actually amazing and stuff.
I think I'm more excited about my friend's results than she is. I was pretty nervous, which was stupid, because she went and did even better than she needed to. So I get to be silly happy for a while. And then start moping about the fact that she's going to be all away from me and stuff....
Also, I wasn't ignoring you on MSN last night. My friend Kira was on my computer and after she'd come off she was like "oh, somebody called Tristan said hi"
So, erm... yeah
i can't wait to move to manchester now. i'm sooo pleased with myself. grin grin grin :D
Wawa is doing her masters in September, I'll be up there lots I imagine.
and yay! i love manchester :D
and he is alive! good work.
Yay for Jack :D

i need to actually work hard this year.
everyone seems to work harder second year, the first year is about meeting people/fun and a bit of work! and its not like you did bad at all!
i'm just really really bad at exams, and making sense of all the jumbled up crap in my head.
you get more used to it after a while too i found!
ditch the re.
fyi my sister stormed her RE exams as the only atheistic one in the class.
i will just have to trowel my way through it this year. and do lots of lovely resits.
it doesnt help that the 3 module exams were back to back either. gay.
A - English Lit
A - Music

only you could get upset about that

Go, Team Chloe!

well done!! You are officially the brightest member of Team Log.
that's still me
And well done FRF and Triztyn.
yes you can!
well done both of you, hobbvz
who cares! YOU ROCKED IT LIKE A ROLL LIZARD!!
Economics is a third of my degree!
So I'm one third nerd... Oh wait. Probably true.
As you were.
sweet zombie jesus! My highest grade at A Level was a C!
Congratulations Miss Chloe :) xx
DiS A level students- pretty clever?
(hello) are the ones less likely to post their results on a message board. Though DiSers do seem to be pretty smart.
i did have sympathy for them with everyone bragging actually (see above)
Everyone has the right to be happy and post happy things when doing well.
for their results, if they're disappointed, sure. but anyone who does well has the right to be all happy and excited without having to feel guilty.
'oh i did rubbish' even though i got 5 As comments in perspective!
but yay A levels :)
if people aren't happy with their results then they are going to be
a) less inclined to post them
b) less happy when they see how wonderfully ahppy everyone else is about their results.
of course people have a right to pleassed with their marks and themselves but there is nothing wrong with being sympathetic to those who haven't done all that well and may not be too pleased. the two aren't contradictory at all or even rude to the high achiever end of things.
commiserations to those who didn't do so well, cogratulations to tose who have.
the message you mean hadn't appeared on my screen when i started typing.
anyway, the question is:
who will have the prettiest straight A student tomorrow? the express or the mail?
for the last line alone
B in Performance Studies. D in Music Tech. E in Music
Rubbish I know
Kings! Party on!
here i come manchester in a year, fucking fabulous. I'm so stoked!
from Manchester, though, and she told me she's already too full of Southern students, and that you'll have to be diverted.

those twins have paid the price for mass intelligence with their looks. No offence to them.
English Literature- A
that at the time.
I wouldn't worry.
but still got into Manchester
in everything ever.
A's in English, History adnd Philosophy, though got full marks in my entire History A2, and got, sort of, mediocre A's in English.
I am not sure why i am studying English.
I should really do History. I am so much better at it.
Wow, everyone has done so well.
All of my best friend got 3 A's.
It seems that everyone is so intelligent.
Well done everyone.
Especailly those who got full marks in Englsih, that is sooooooo hard; you lose marks for such silly things.
Now i am in limbo as to wether i should go to Manchester or King's.
i think i have to go to King's, or they will proably hurt me.
but everyone seems to not have done as well in english, hopefully i can wrangle 5 marks more!
Should have done the IB, n00bz!!!!
