ker-oh-wack I think.
was how i pronounced it when we did it in english
Slightly* less elongated
Maybe don't stress the ACK quite so much.
kar in my opinion
and rhyming with bivouac
with an american accent i spose.
My dad always pronounced it "Kah-row-ak".
I defer to him because he had a jumper with a big picture of the guy's face on it which said "JACK KEROUAC".
But do what I do - pronounce is 'Cah-muss' and when people call you up on it, belligerently inform them that as an Englishman, you pronounce words the way they are spelt, and if anyone has a problem with it they can address their concerns to your forehead. At which point, headbutt them.
So THAT'S the whispered conversation you and that guy were having on the bus right before it all kicked off. I did wonder.
i do this. without the headbutt part. which is the best bit. damn.
you get away with slurring all your words and still sounding scholarly doing it. (It's just not fair.)
car(upsidedown e) o ak
Camus the guy with the cod piece who wrote Word Up?
"you know, the fight club guy"
