I do like sitting back and seeing where life carries me sometimes, allowing random occurrences to happen and following the paths that open up.
Like Wednesday night. I went to the merch stall at Gang Gang Dance, and got outside Cargo to find everyone had left already. I went back to the bus stop on my own, whereupon I bumped into a guy from uni I hadn't seen for five odd years. He was in the company of FOUR other people he knew that he had also bumped into on the street. We went out for a drink.
This prompted me to get in touch with another guy I knew him through, that I still know, but kind of fell out with in the past, and have become a bit awkward around ever since. We arranged to go out for a drink last night. On the way, I bumped into his own housemate, totally at random, and got him to come along. Also there were two of my other old friends from uni.
It was all great and comfortable like we all still lived together and I ended up going to get something to eat with the guy I'd fallen out with, talking about all times and finally eliminating all trace of hatchets.
So, I'm seriously considering wandering up and down Shoreditch High Street tonight until something great happens. You may or may not want to join me.
