Most harrowing film ever?
but normally a film has several fluctuations of emotions, whether it's predominantly happy or depressing. I can't remember seeing something which was almost a flatline - just bleak. It was weird.
Someone told me it was better than Lilya 4 Ever
Show Me Love (Fucking Amal) is my favourite of his. Possibly my favourite film ever (the top three constant overtake each other).
honestly one of the best films I've ever seen. Very realistic, very funny and very optimistic (even though all the characters do bad things at some point).
You can always lure people into watching it with you by saying it's a film about Swedish lesbian schoolgirls. Which it is. Just not graphically/unrealistically so.
Show Me Love is such a sweet lovely film.
for the first time last week, and I keep randomly thinking back to it. It was grim. However the ending made me want to smile and cry a little bit at the same time.
but I just didn't feel it after the weight of everything that had gone before it.
i think Nobody Knows is the most bleak film i can remember right now.
but also never watch it again.
Probably the bleakest film I have seen in a long time but superb.
All four i've seen are totally different.
Show Me Love is a sweet subtle take on your average high school teen movie.
Together is an amazingly uplifting examination of human relationships.
Lilya 4 Ever is unbearably bleak hyper-realistic potrait of eastern European life.
And a Hole In My Heart is quire possibly the worst film ever made.
I could see what he was trying to say but it got too much and I lost interest. I probably find And Once Were Warriors, say, far more harrowing.
Fucking Amal and Together are brilliant films though!
