An occasional series brought to you by me having run out of ideas.
Actually hearing Allen yesterday saying that Bergman was his inspiration as a director got me thinking that I find Woody Allen 'the director and writer' to be absolutely blah and am completely nonplussed by his contribution to culture - my summary of him is this - small man complex + hackneyed New York Jewish stereotype + small man who must be seen to be attractive to tall sexy women x hidden mysogeny = 342 films with exactly the same storyline and agenda.
Maybe I'm missing something. Maybe I'm wrong. Just an opinion and therefore a 'nonplussed' opinion.
I'm sure there are flaws in my argument.
