the band i was in owe the princely sum of £1500ish for some CDs we were given to sell. This was ages ago and I was hoping they had forgotten about it.
Not so, we got an urgent invoice for it a few weeks back. When they gave us the CDs we were told any we didn't sell we could return and they would deduct it from the invoice.
But, today i have found out that the label has been bought out and is dissolving.
a) keep on ignoring it and hope it goes away.
b) send back the CDs now and get the bill reduced but thereby acknowledging the debt but still ignore the new invoice for as long as poss.
c) just pay up.
does anyone here know anything about these sorts of things? Will the new company start chasing it up? can i realistically get away with it?
