Dont forget to do your Dance at those pearly gates.
a good thing his comedic talents died a long time before he did.
He's still a great writer when he works with Stephen Merchant. You can't deny that Extras, whilst perhaps not as strong as The Office, was a pretty successful (and funny) series
It's just his public appearances and interviews in which he comes across as a complete twat. He's just not funny in that kind of situation. Painfully unfunny, in fact
I really like the guy - when he's writing with Merchant. He just needs to stop appearing in public. Full stop. Take a leaf out of Merchant's book.
Even when he's out of character he's still playing a character. That sort of faux-arrogant, patronising 'star' that he always wheels out during interviews
Like in his Comic Relief sketch.
It's hard to find the real Ricky Gervais, he lets the facade slip sometimes during his podcasts, but it's still there, lingering...
especially series 2.So why does he keep on doing that dance at Live Earth and at that Diana thing?
and theyre idiots, hence the reason they were at those concerts
say much for Mr Gervais then if he's going to do what people tell him
what of it?
I don't doubt that he's a genuinely funny guy, he's just gotta stay away from the public eye.
the podcasts are SO amazing, and he's genuinely hilarious in them...
but he seems to have been consumed by the fame and attention; he used to make a point of not doing crappy stuff, but he keeps doing more and more of it recently.
he needs to spend more time with karly pilkboys and less with jonathan ross and ben stiller.
mfla AH AH AH AH AAAAAAAAH
its an honest laught
The same laugh.
Every single time.
you dont hear any other comedians laughing, its the only bad thing about the podcasts is having to hear his annoying laugh every 2 mins
