When you're turning something over in your mind do you often run through the thought as a sentence?
Have you ever tried to just think the thought as a block of emotion rather than as words?
If you do tend to think in words. Then you'll find that you can actually think thoughts instantaneously. For example I can conceptualise this entire post without having to verbalise it BUT i tend to run through it in my head in words anyway.
I know the shape and the feel and the meaning of what I'm thinking but for some reason feel the need to spell it out to myself.
I can, if I concentrate, sit and think for long periods of time in the 'emotional shapes' and not have any language in my head but I haven't, thus far, been able to train myself to do it all the time. Which would speed up my decision making process and probably make me much 'quicker.
what do you think?
