Consultant pay exceeds £110,000

Does anyone else think this is rather disgusting at a time when the NHS is supposedly struggling?
Despite the extra money the Labour administration has put into the NHS, a disproportionate amount has gone on wages, predominantly to doctors (consultant pay plus the disastrous and incredibly incompetent miscalculations of the GP contract).
However, doctors have the most powerful lobbying force of any profession, and the average person assumes they are providing value for money, so this situtation can't be challenged.
Any thoughts?
