Anyone else watching? Argentina to win I reckon.
it was lovely see them dominate the u.s. & shutup all my friends that know nothing about soccer & blather about the u.s. victory in the gold cup.
& brasil is looking really, really bad. mexico blew them out.
but other than those three teams, it's kind of boring. really boring & really bad. but worth waiting to see messi tear people apart.
Its not better than the African Cup of Nations
I think the Copa has the better teams
it has brasil & argentina. (=
although africa has improved tremendously, it doesn't have strong teams (as opposed to great players) like s. america has. it'll be there soon though.
Africa has great players.
Still a long way from having a consistently top 10 team
phenotypic was saying
Phenotypic said "There soon"
which is the opposite of what I said
thought the question and 'great players' were the connected ones.
anyway, paraguay > argentina
Colombia aren't exactly good, but Paraguay thrashed them. Argentina played worse against them.
I wouldn't mind Argentina winning, mainly for Riquelme, but I'll stick with the not-quite-but-almost underdogs.
Whilst its undeniable that the Copa has the bigger stars, I think that the ACON is more entertaining. Next years should be excellent with Ghana, Ivory Coast, Nigeria and Cameroon all looking pretty strong.
I dunno though, I reckon both tournaments are better than the Euros.
I keep seeing you on football sites PC :)
The last ANC was incredibly dull. The Copa America, thus far, has been quite fun.
a few highlights so far. I'm really glad Riquelme is back
they show live games at night and highlights at various times during the day and evening
what are people making of anderson?
And he looked pretty good. Strong. Should fit into the Premiership well. So it looks like you've only been ripped off with Nani.
nani'll be better than fletcher.
keeping him and richardson out of the team is pretty much priceless in my book.
anderson has done absolutely NOTHING. the only brasilian in the front that's moving around & looking good is robinho. but that's to be expected. (=
bring back ronaldo & replace wagner.
is playing ahead of Fred is beyond me.
even where the goals have dried up a bit in recent games, the entertainment value has been enormous. Argentina look the best side so far, but they did in the World Cup too. Mexico look very strong too - Nery Castillo is the striker they were missing in the World Cup. Brazil look pretty ordinary. With the exception of Robinho, their strikers are must be some of the worst to have ever worn the Yellow shirt. Wagner Love and Alves. Rubbish. Anderson looks pretty raw in what I've seen, not a lot of end product. All in all, great stuff.
Chile, and then Venezuela or Uruguay. I can't see them losing to any of those.
Mexico have been good, but I can still see Paraguay beating them.
Mind you, they were fortunate to beat Chile never mind 3-0. Still, if Robinho get's his regulation dodgy penalty they've every chance.
for peru. Peru werent very good.
I watched it at first but then lost track.
I need to catch up again.
I'll just have to hope for Uruguay beating Brazil.
really moving to Manchester City, and how do I stop it?
Many of which were brilliant. We won't get this many goals during EURO 2008 in it's entirity.
But it would have been nicer if about 19 of those goals hadn't been scored by the winning teams.
Give me 6-0 and 6-1 wins any day of the week.
game was hardly fair.
was sent off in the 5th minute? That's true, and a real shame. But I really enjoyed the other 3 games.
Not when they're ALL 6-0 wins - I like matches to be close from time to time.
but 6-0 wins are better than 0-0 bore draws, extra time and then penalties.
Stupid predictable finals.
Brazil v Argentina in the final.
Who'd have thought it?
