Crisp sandwiches

Royter-Hatfood [Edit] [Delete] 38 replies 15:29, 28 June '07

I already have a deja vu just posting this, but why have these never been marketed? In our consumerist, sell-sell-sell society, shurely this is a huge gap in the market? Everyone loves them, why not sell them?

*starts drawing up plans*

  • The big question:

What's the best flavour of crisp to go in the sandwich?

    My answer: salt & vinegar.

          • THEY EXIST!

MY GOD i'm so happy i found this thread!

I once saw a crisp sandwich in a vending machine in Guildford station. BUT...it was better than that... it was a MAKE YOUR OWN CRISP SANDWICH!

It was basically two slices of bread and a small packet of crisps in a packet. Everytime I've gone back to Guildford station I've checked that machine, but they never restocked it.

            The nation needs crisp sandwiches

            • No way

NO WAY. I've been to Guildford station many a time, if there had been a crisp-sandwich machine I'D NEVER HAVE LEFT.

  • Recipe ideas

    You will need:

    1 Tomato
    1 Slice of Corned Beef
1 Soft cob/bap/whatever you Northern/Southern oddballs call bread rolls these days
    1 Packet of Hula Hoops
    Butter

    Method:

Slice open and butter the bread roll, place the corned beef inside the roll. Slice the tomato in to thin slices and place two or three slices on top of the beef. Then, taking care not to pop the bag, crush the contents of the Hula Hoop packet, then open and sprinkle onto the sandwich. Close the cob. And enjoy.

Thats my Saturday mornings round my parents house! Watch Football Focus at the same time, or Futurama and laugh as your mum says she can't watch it because its too weird and finds the characthers revolting 'i'm not sure how they think these things up, they must be a bit wrong in the head mustn't they. They should make those things of that Corsa advert into toys shouldn't they? Whens Deal or no deal on' and so on.

    • ^sounds nice

      Minus the tomato

      the-other-staunchino @snow_brigade | 28 Jun '07, 16:24 | X
      • i thought the same

but one day i tried it with the tomato, and I was proven wrong.
