RICE AND PEAS?
i add soy sauce.
well, Ketjap anyway.
nah Improv Curry, feat. tin of tomatoes, tin of chick peas, an onion, buncha spices and a couple of peppers
is the best. I stuck a sachet of tomato cup-a-soup in my last one and it was awesome.
and maybe some goat
maybe some Ackee, but its £4.50 for a tin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Improv "curry" is the only kind. Not everybody prescribes to your Anglo-Saxon fascist cooking rules.
subscribes, even. This stupid job is making me stupid.
why are the our rules if we break them?
and why ""curry""?
especially boxed rice,
mmmmmmmmm boxes of rice!
ooh i could right go for some blackbean and peas round about now
peas: spawn of satan
there aren't any peas in rice and peas
are actually kidney beans, yes?
i made it myself
did you use any of the real ingredients that are in rice and peas apart from rice?
i just got some rice, and put some peas in it.
they go together everso well, to be eaten on their own, with a piece of meat or a curry-like sauce
hence the thread.
I think you should call your dish
"some rice and some peas"
This thread makes me need to make rice and peas...I have some saltfish too...mmm, but no ackee!...
£4+ for a tin about 500g?
all that boiling and discarding...and you can still die from eating it!
What a shame! I've only had it from takeaways, and its my new favourite food
i had ackee and saltfish rice and peas from Mr Bagel in Dalston a few weeks back. it was lovely, but i was wasted and yacked it up anyway
how much is it in mr bagel...never been there, only that one just down the road from the Hackney Empire
I think they thought I was insane when I ate a giant portion of ackee saltfish rice and peas, and then went back for a second helping of rice and peas
This is rice and peas: http://www.sundayupmarket.co.uk/climgs/378
Who ever heard of putting peas in rice and peas?
I had a Jamaican child minder when I was younger, her snapper fish curry and fried dumpling was the shit.
this a sunday dinner staple. Rice, Peas and chicken. I can make it v well. When you cook the rice you put creamed coconut in it.
I like ackee and saltfish with fried dumplings.
Never thought i'd see this thread on here started by christshallower alcock!
