MAXIMUM COUNTRY POINTS ACHIEVED
I am, however, disappointed that you're not wearing boots, hat and some kind of ludicrous rhinestone jacket.
that thats the ho-down position
i'm surprised you've never heard of it
i KNEW i would get comments on them if i wore them. damn you all.
we men aint allowed to wear skirts, shorts are for paedos and it was 80 degrees so trousers were not an option
to be the worst-dressed man to ever stand on stage at the Grand Ole Opry
The Grand Ole Opry's an American country music show on t'radio - it's also the name of the venue they broadcast it from. I didn't know they had a Glasgow chapter...
That is brilliant. Even better than Crazy Horse at Butlins.
well to correct joe slightly, The Opry is the longest running radio show in america, 82 years now, broadcasts on friday and saturday nights from a massive venue called Opryland just outside of nashville.
however! for the first 50 or so years it was held at the Ryman Auditorium (where we are in the picture), which due to the Opry and it's uber amazing history of live music is, after Carnegie Hall, probably the most famous theatre in america. it's like the CBGB's of country, or something.
even with the trousers i was still the best-dressed man in the state by a mile. its the only time in my life where i've felt skinny and well dressed without changing anything about myself.
