Now this really is indisputable fact. She's so deliciously evil, and perfectly portratyed.
But has she ever eaten a chocolate ecclair from a bin?
The thing is, I really enjoyed the first series of Nighty Night because the sheer evil of her character was never really shown explicitly until the final episode. The blackness of the comedy was only ever implied - is the smily facade just hiding someone contemptibly self-centred or something much darker? It was the restraint that made it great.
The second series was so utterly shit by comparison that I find it hard to believe that it was made by the same people. I think she just became a grotesque in the end - symptom of writing that had completely u-turned on the measured approach that made it good. Oh well.
