I want to go home next week. A single fare from Kings Cross to Newcastle on the 22nd = £115
fly. its actually cheaper
There used to be a major markup for Friday travel.
Manchester to London return tomorrow is only going ot be £59.
I actually can't believe I said 'only' just there. This country really sucks sometimes.
you can get a manchester - london return for £17.50 if you book a couple of days before.
and you may be right but not for the train I want to take, out tomorrow returning on Monday.
£59 is the Saver Return so I can therefore take any train I like either way, which I am looking forward to :D
i don't understand the first bit, but i hope you have a nice time in manchester all the same.
I mean it's London to Manchester not Manchester to London, which may have different offers on it.
That's pretty reasonable.
London to Newquay will run you £1500 business class, apparently. This is on a train, remember.
08457 484950. Someone nice there might have a secret special offer. Also, you're under 26 aren't you? Get a railcard.
make sure you book well in advance.
it's the same selection of fares available for the 13th July and 10th August.
standard rail cards are yearly.
It was a sad day when I took my 1st journey as a 26 year old and then realised that i had missed the opportunity to renew my railcard on the day before my 26th.
student account railcard that is. sorry. me stupid.
you can have one until you're but you will have to re-new your railcard, they last either 6 or 12 months i think.
and it lasts till 2009, because I opened a bank account with Natwest when I started uni.
my train ticket home from Oxford to Newcastle on the 25th = £9.90 :D
booking it today
It's only £4 or something to take the Oxford Tube up there.
jacob should just get the mega coach to oxford and get your train!
parents are boring anyway
if you book further in advance?
I went to Sheffield and back last weekend and it only cost me £12.55.
as far ahead as August 10th :(
if you're (nans?) on your deathbed you probably won't be getting the train, eh?
pointing out that it should have been "your nan's" instead of "you're nans".
yeah! if your granny was dying you would probably get the train.
in the guard's carriage.
or only go at Christmas and get the ticket as your present.
and get them to come to you.
It takes time but it'll get you there.
One ticket to Newcastle, leaving tomorrow - £8.
the savings of a cheap flight by Easyjet from Stansted are cancelled out by the price of the train to the airport!
The ferry takes 30 hours...
yes! Try living on that route!
A peak travelcard from where I live is £25, and I only live 22 minutes from tottenham hale
I'm gonna start a system of dirty protests. Every time I have to go on the train, I smear crap on the seats as I leave
Even if i book as far in advance is thetrainline.com allows me to, the fare isn't cheaper at all.
between 5 and midnight...
they don't have check boxes next to them...
