Travel Advice
So I'm thinking about taking off sometime next month. To the 1800s, mostly likely 1857, which I hear was a very good year.
I can't decide on my chosen travelling technique though. The travel agents are offering me the following:
The Scrooge: You travel back as an observer. You can look, but you cannot touch or influence in any way.
The McFly: You travel back as a participant. You can look, touch, take advantage of ye olde prostitutes. Downsides are, you can die, destroy the universe or conceive your own grandparent.
The Beckett: I reckon the middle option. Like the McFly, but you travel inside the head of a local. This represents less chance of fucking up the future, plus you may be obliged to do something exciting and vital to the future of your chosen host.
I'll check back at the end of the day for the results.
