They're like tiny little vaginas. Ain't that something?
These ones aren't gritty actually. They're pretty nice once you've drained that horrible vinegar out.
Next on my list: Whelks.
Where can you find whelks though...?
you put two mussels in a darkened room and leave them over night
The thing is, even though I know that's horseshit, I'm still a little sad that by the time I read it, I had finished the mussels and now can't try it out.
Especially ones from Brussels in a white wine sauce.
Way to bourgeois up my thread.
I'd say yes.
best ever sitcom accolade goes to spaced, hands down.
and then maybe nathan barley.
3) Peep Show
5) Ah... I dunno... Arrested Development?
and 4/5 down one and you'd be spot on.
(also Curb > Seinfeld. There, I said it)
get out of my house.
Psht! Like you know what's funny. I heard you laughing at the bit in La Dolce Vita where Marcello and the hot chick from the club hook up again at the beach, but can't hook up emotionally because his suppressed cynicism can't override her all consuming naiveté.
That's not fucking funny.
has been shit since the 3rd series. therefore counting it out of any 'best sitcom' poll. sorry.
I've been watching season 6 past few weeks. Best season yet by a long shot. Especially the musical episode.
storylines are being reproduced. the 'emotional' bits are terribley contrived and just cringeworthy.
i don't LIKE any of the characters any more. JD seems more and more like a total misogynist to me.
it just seems like a team of scriptwriters out of ideas.
and any more would have probably been shit.
it was perfect. not a misplaced line or badly cut scene. not a shoddy storyline or corny ending. all just so.
like Fawlty Towers?
Spaced was good but not up there with the best American sitcoms.
sitcoms should not be judged on quantity of episodes.
best to keep it short and perfect (see: spaced, the office, faulty towers, nathan barley) than be good at first and then a bit worse as it goes on (see: scrubs, black books)
Frasier/Arrested Development/Curb are a thousand times cleverer in terms of writing than Spaced, no matter how enjoyable the latter was.
quite the opposite!
simply saying that sitcoms shouldn't outstay their welcome, that's all. and it is better to have a short and good run, then fade into shitness.
though ultimately quality does prevail.
i've just been digging spaced since the start, so that's probably why i love it so much.
i do love frasier and all those other ones too though.
god isn't comedy GREAT?!
I used to watch Spaced every Friday from the very beginning and I do love it. But it's just not as clever as the US ones. And good comedy is clever comedy in my book.
it's all semantics really...
They're like eggs, but much, much smaller.
I literally refuse to believe you.
and made an avacado salad with balsamic vinegar, honey and mustard dressing.
along with barbecue chicken wings and garlic bread. Who's the winner here?
Not my arteries, that's for sure. I feel like I'm having a very slow heart attack.
it'll break up all that stodge that's choking your bloodflow.
I prescribe whisky and crack.
however I just ate the most freshest piece of tuna, I was almost going to eat it RAW it looked so good.
