Time to start looking for a new at-times-world-class-all-rounder-but-now-a-bit-of-a-rabbit-with-the-willow...
he's not too old to come back from this
hes a bit shit really.
with an all rounder for all rounder's sake. Vaughan and Collingwood are fair part time bowlers - and Australia have dominated the past decade without a decent all rounder.
KP can turn a few as well...it's not like he doesn't already do enough for the team...
if he's fit and in form, use Flintoff as a number 8.
but Australia have spent the last decade with two of the best bowlers of all time in their side. Not to mention the best wicketkeeper batsman and at least one of the best batsman.
It's not difficult to see why having a world class all-rounder is so important to a side like England.
he's still relatively young after all.
Bopara's going to be a very good batsman but he'll never be half the bowler Flintoff is.
when he is fit, he is England's best bowler. His batting is utter shit and has been for some time so I think we can stop thinking about him as an all-rounder. England don't need an all-rounder, they need good pace bowlers.
