what does it hold?
someone explain this as you would to a slow child
I don't fully understand it either
but everyone else knows what you listen to so can point and laugh at you (nb, i dont use it. dont have internet at home, so this might not be strictly true)
how does that differ from normal radio?
i think you pick bands that you like, and then listen to them, then other bands like them, then you get to see what other people that listen to those bands also listen too.
basically, it records what you're listening to on your PC and collects the data, and it 'builds' a radio station based around what you like and similar stuff it thinks you may like.
that sounds good
some resulting from the fact that last.fm bought audioscrobber - one was a radio and one was an accumulation of your music charts
basically turning it into a business operation.
last.fm was originally a seperate set of guys, who then merged with Audioscrobler under the last.fm name.
differs from this:
that guy has to be listening to Mika.
was a mid-orgasm oriental man there as well.
it looks like the web is literally revolutionizing music in that guys head right there and then
at least they keep the same managment team who have quite frankly done a damned fine job so far =)
As a user of the site i'm a bit confused/excited/scared
I have no doubt the management team plan to run everything the same way, but obviously CBS bought it for a reason and have plans.
As someone else... unsure.
n try to sell music or get promoters to promote music threw their site... i dont see that much going to boat... i doubt they will impose subscription charges n stuff.... just keep with the last.fm contributer plan n its fine
If everything is supposedly going to stay the same, what do CBS get out of the deal?
that article says google paid 82bn for youtube.
does the bbc employ subs?
lots of interesting reading to be had.
typical big business shill sell-outs adding a blog to be 'cool'
