me and various other DiS people are going.
Should be really good. Only four quid.
who, what, why, where, when...etcetera...
www.myspace.com/davidthomasbroughton - amazing folk guy, one of the best live acts i've seen.
It's Holy Trinity church on some road, near the corn exchange and train station.
Doors at 8, 8:30?
Think that's all you need to know..
I saw him play there almost exactly two years ago. It was really great.
anything a bit, erm, livelier going on??!
AND it'll be totally lively. He got thrown out of his own gig here in Manchester recently!
He got wheyyy rowdy, and the bouncers didn't like it. He was playing a rhythm with a glass and doing his loop magic, then smashed it and generally went a bit crackers.
He was escorted outside and was let back in after a while, and he carried on doing his set.
he does provide a very intense/eccentric live performance.
They vomit in the day too, if thats your bag. Some old woman blew chunks whilst walking past Wilkinsons a few months ago, and she didn't even break stride.
Leeds is horrble.
Yes you're right. Just (so far) Leeds is the only place where I've seen it happen, on my lunch break.
Actually a girl threw up at the bus stop in Piccadilly Gardens in Manchester about two weeks ago on a Saturday. But she was quite hot, and was laughing like crazy afterwards with her friend. So it wasn't as bad.
I dont find throwing up sexy, just to clarify
Pretty hawt, but not as much as the vomming grlz, boner-tastic
sounds intruiging....i may well be there.
i'm easy to spot, i'm the oldish guy, with a wig and really large ears. and an irish accent. and i'll probably be doing the floral dance.
they were fantastic at chinchilla fest earlier this year.
which just so happens....... to be the only occassion i have met a DiSer. thewildson was there with commander cool and PV. in fact, i think i remember nestor raving about DTB then too.
