am in the Dennis the Menace fan club, I think Roger the Dodger was one of my favourites, I wanted to be as tricky :)

for Calamity James alone. The times when we were living in NZ we still had them sent out halfway round the world
Biffa Bacon in viz is obviously based on that one (and is better)
However the original (bully beef) was quite disturbing in that the artist always drew the shorts as if they were shiny........giving the impression that he was wearing tight pvc shorts.....this is either wrong or bad artistry

I have every Beano Book from 1969-now, plus
'59 and '66...a big stack of the comics, lots of comic libraries including the first one...got a tonne of Dandy stuff as well, but its just not quite as great
Btw- if you go on this site
and type in the price of The Beano/Dandy (it was the same back then) in 1983 (9p), you'll find that in real terms its weekly price has quadrupled! Shocking!
ps- this is mostly a collection I amassed before I was 11 ;) I just hoard things...
