And I'm wireless now too.
it's good. really reliable and quick.
I bought a fancy router that has four ethernet ports!
cancelled it because I had a temporary credit card problem. They said I had to switch to a different credit, which I don't have, rather re-trying the now-working original one. Stupid non-user-friendly service.
that sounds fairly good stuff. Was there an installation fee with BT?
so there's no problem.
No installation fee with BT, and I'll have yet another broadband modem.
it's going to be ACE :D
development: the rest of the team have just informed me that i sent out a text message to a few people last night saying: "when i dont turn up at work phone me to wake me up".
placing hidden charges everywhere, such as usage limits
so not a problem
i too am thinking of getting rid of the evil Virgin, my 12 months is just about up too. I always thought BT had piss poor customer service though, no?
I was thinking Pipex. Maybe.
they give you a 0845 number that no-one answers and the money drains away while you're waiting.
seriously, their customer service is so bad it's almost funny. If (when) something goes wrong you have to spend hours on the phone to their callcentres in India speaking to guys who have a set script to run through, and if your problem isn't covered by this script they just tell you to call back in 3 days if the problem hasn't gone away, and then you're back with the same script.
I just got released from my BT contract 6 months early because of the really shitty speeds... oh yeah, and they billed me £65 a month for 3 months because of an admin cockup, instead of £17.99. Good eh?
Ask Virgin for a MAC code and then migrate to someone like UKFSN http://www.ukfsn.org/ they're cheap, fast and they only do 1 month contracts. Pipex have a crap reputation too...
