i want to engage in debate chronicalling Al Fayed's take over through the glory days of Keegan and Tigana, Coleman's dismantling of any decent football (but good bloke) and replacing it with long ball 'tactics' and keeping on his booze hound mates as pub buddies, through our season this year, our journeyman, ageing squad through to the appointment of another long ball expert, sanchez, who is an arrogant bell with no record to speak of, even though he speaks of it the whole time.
as I worked at craven cottage when I was at uni. They are 5th in my teams list:
the only reason Ian Pearce was there was because he was a drinking partner!
nicknamed 'the tanker' because his turning circle is huge. this has always made me laugh.
pearce, beasant, pembridge, crossley - all booze hounds with coleman
can't help but love the cottage
especially craven cottaging.
come on, olegrich, it was george michael in a public toilet on clapham common, wasn't it?
you said you wouldn't tell.
are the cottagers. and proud?
i've heard it going on in bishop's park by the river. i walked faster.
and now..... a warm welcome to my localest team Farsley Celtic, new members of conference national!
not particularly liked Fulham since Al-Fayed came in and started flashing the cash. Without him they'd still be in the lower leagues.
and media have been saying this every year for the last 6 years.
but this next year we will struggle i think - if only on the evidence of finishing 1 point clear of relegation!
any opinions on sanchez?
your signings this summer:
Jeff and Jim Whitley
won't get maik taylor back again?!?
david healy - yes
sylvain distin - maybe
lee sun choo (sp) - defender
craig gordon - if we're lucky
brian mcbridge to centre back
he's like a traditional english centre forward.
mcbridefact: he was the first pick in the first ever MLS draft making him the best footballer prepared to play in america back then.
and backed up by his profile on FM2007. Speaking of which, if you ever sign him at the start of the game, you can get him for £150k and if you play him as a target man, he will guarantee you 30+ goals.
