So you can vote for John McDonnell and take Labour back from the right wing clique that captured it in 1994.
and im voting for my main man, gordon.
i met him. he has very soft hands. fact.
im sure they are.
I guess that's as good a reason as any to vote for him, since he's basically Tony Blair.
what's the appeal. what does he stand for. what does he even stand against?
john mcdonnell is a man of principle and integrety.
unlike gordon brown.
He's looking more of a Sir Anthony Meyer than a Heseltine.
He's an intelligent & impassioned man who's offering a workable alternative to the creeping privatisation and support for US imperialism proffered by Gordon Brown. Watch him PWN Gordon:
for whoever keeps my office open. Even if my boss ends up being Hazel Blears.
or a bizarre reality TV show where labour ministers run businesses?
He's John Prescott's fluffer. How's that working out for you, Tom?
As for John McDonnell, is the country really ready for a Scouser teamster communist in the big chair?
I mean, I know he's up against a tight-fisted Presbyterian Scot, but isn't that just one cliché too far?
Thanks Michael Howard.
Now I've had time to sleep on it, maybe having McDonnell wouldn't be so bad.
Presumably he's an admirer of that certain other paradigm of socialism, which means we can look forward to having a huge, unwieldy centralised bureaucracy, a massive nuclear arsenal, bizarre reactionary decrees eminating from the offices of power every other Tuesday, regular purges of political dissidents and an ill-advised and increasingly intractable war in the middle east - somewhere like Afghanistan.
Would things really change that much?
