dundee any good? theres a pretty nice art/philosophy degree.
end of thread.
is finishing his history degree there this year!
but i spose you might not wanna go somewhere your brother has been...find your own city, discover somewhere for yourself kinda thing.
so i say second choice sheffield, great city.
its great, so much so im staying here for at least another year, despite me graduating in a few weeks.
surely it has pretty much everything?
Althought its more expensive and that...
but in terms of "best"
to make up for it in london!
But in all honesty, I'd rather be in Manchester or Sheffield or Bristol, if you're talking purely social life, clubs and gigs.
of my friends are going to manchester/sheffield. hmm. i just want a nice balance between a good city/social life/degree. but i guess its pretty impossible to have that.
it's beautiful and very calm and lazy. But for the kind of nightlife I want, it doesn't offer much, and I end up going to Bristol at least once a week for music and the like.
if you can't really afford london.
in fact, i think manchester is a brilliant place, despite the rain.
I miss Scotland :(
at glasgow, and apparently got a pretty good music venue. ive got a friend there, who wanted to stab me when i mentioned going to edinburgh, as she has such an ace time in glasgow
edinburgh isnt boring!
how can somewhere thats only an hour away from glasgow on the bus be boring...
Or at least it better be - I'm moving there next year...
and if you get sick of one just hop on the bus - you'd never get bored in either.
Dundee is a nice city but in terms of entertainment, well, it has a big Primark.
because it means im literally 5 mins from Manchester!
for a student? Comments please.
I can't imagine anywhere else in the country being a better place for a student.
That said, I haven't done a degree anywhere else... but Sheffield is seriously ace - that's why I stayed up here.
is good, but i think it gets stale quite quickly.
apart from a gigantic place like London, maybe... I've been here five years now and I'm still far from bored.
... I'll let you know how it compares :)
You can't go wrong either way.
is the way forward. Beautiful campus, exciting city, I certainly never got bored or jaded there.
is indeed an amazing city and the uni has an absolutely amazing campus, today i saw the cuuuutest goslings by the lake :) But yes, great city, so much to do - brilliant music scene as well!
is the place to be without a doubt.
Music scene is amazing too.
And there's a uni/college here that will do just about everything.
I am not really a student, but Glasgow is pretty amazing for all the above reasons.
Like the only underground in Scotland. Wow! :P
A city with personallity, a banging night life and if ur into that sort of thing amazing gay scene.
