I think mine is Westminster. Yours?
angel is neat too
its hardly ever busy and theres always trains were i need to go! so stick it chuck!
yes you chuck
The two stations I was gonna mention in the first two posts. Outstanding!
So yeah, mine is Westminster because I like the idea that the folk who control this country built themselves a state of the art, brushed aluminium cyber prick station, while us plebs in zone 2 (like mesah in Bethnal Green) have to put up with escalators that work only half the time and an inexplicable brown colour scheme.
i like the stripes
But... it's brown!
^i have no idea what this means.
like turnham green and stamford brook. i hate hammersmith. that is horrible. west kensington is ok.
it has a fish shop attatched to it for no reason in particular! SWEET.
from hillhead to as far as st enoch, then back again =(
no bakerloo line
no metropolitan line
no fucking cirle line.
i feel sorry for you!
I could be in London, wedged between a fat man's sweaty armpit and the latest indie sensation, wishing I could sit on one of the currently occupied piss-stained seats.
I like Turnpike Lane though.
i just really like the name.
possibly looks like a swiss cottage...? I like that building.
i've never got on or off there. but it's definitely my favourite.
thanks to a horrific hangover and having to hold vomit in my mouth until the train left the station, before releasing it to much satisfaction in front of the one sole commuter left on the opposite platform
He looked at me with disgust, but his pitiful gaze could not make me have felt any worse than I already did
Or Oval, because it's close to my house.
all of them look like that in Glasgow. It's leaving them that's the fun. Leaving Kelvinbridge: 8/10
whenever I've stayed in Glasgow it's been my nearest station.
I've got a soft spot for Hanger Lane, Vauxhall, White City and Lancaster Gate 'cos they've all been my local stations at one point or other.
I hate Holborn - it's hell in the rush hour.
is that there's a missing exit. i forget which number, but one of them is just not there.
or Blake Hall
apparently blake hall has been converted into a private home now. that's pretty cool..
Yeah, there has been talk of reopening the Epping - Ongar section of the central line but Blake Hall is gone forever. It had six passengers a day on average apparently.
I take the Piccadilly line to work and like trying to spot York Road between Caledonian Road and Kings Cross.
Interesting. Don't think I've ever been on that part of the Northern line. Is it easy to spot from the train?
it's green and white and has a nice little cage wall with greenery in it. ya. green. i guess i like green. and i'm even wearing a green and white dress right now. even though it's only 10 celcius out. bah.
it's like a traditional, red-tiled tube station, but has a five story house plonked on the top.
Can't share the love for Bethnal green though.
errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrm finsbury park? no. erm.... where hannah lives.
fuck. i dunno, somewhere up there.
because it has a cash machine. Other than that I fail to see the appeal.
one can get a lot done on that escalator journey.
All the other Deco-y ones on the Diccapilly Line
and the loos are never open.
because of it's name.
Failing that, definatley Canary Warf. It rules.
it has a sweet shop on the platform
my 'home' station is great.
St Johns Wood - art deco loveliness
Westminster - futuristic madness
Temple - my old uni station
belsize park because of its depth
bank because of its size and its less crowded than kings cross
cos of bottling there
2026 as seen from 1987.
And Oval because it's one of the few stations with train status screens before you descend the escalators so you know whether you have enough time to tie your shoes on your way down or run and trip up on your laces.
Its small, and the walk to my girlfriends from it is nice
the entrance hall is splendid
my least favourite is Baker Street because THAT FUCKING SONG GETS STUCK IN MY HEAD ALL DAY EVERY TIME I GO THROUGH THERE.
street is quality. you know nowt.
but that song ruins it. It's not the station I blame.
is rubbish! imo
the game Mornington Crescent?
If so, applause.
Never been there
It's just like Camden, but smaller and pinker. I like how you can enter both ways though. I like that a lot.
It's ace and art deco styled with glass bricks and straight lines and curved corners.
I liked it a lot.
One of these days I am going to take a photo of every tube station in London.
no barriers....in rush hour.....facing death every day.....humans need that
how long ago did it close!?
just transformed by the nanny state.
One year it was mad bad and dangerous x rated station another year I returned to london and its like a nursery.
i want it back the old way
The following stations were all located at the far end of the Metropolitan Line:
* Waddesdon Manor
* Quainton Road
* Granborough Road
* Winslow Road
* Verney Junction
* Church Siding
* Wood Siding
formerly known as Aluminum Siding.
I like Tottenham Court Road cos of the pretty tiles
