'Charlotte Sloan added "the Maccabees" to her favorite music.'
is now in a relationship"
there's plenty more fish, and other cliches
i signed up 2 days ago, and i have one friend.
I don't really get it and i'm not sure i want to
i mean, that would be lovely, but why is it any different from myspace?
Photo hosting is better
Tagging photos of friends
seeing comments on photos simply
seeing comments of photos you are tagged in
overall the interactivty and simple user interface are better than myspace. Its more useful, cleaner and has less adverts. At present its not a corporate whore like MySpace, it'll change sooner or later but its a million times better right now
add a song :(
and in what why is myspace a corporate whore? Yes it is owned by Poopert Murdoch, but this doesn't appear to affect anything
I went on out of curiosity to see if anyone I knew was on there, but you can't stalkerspace!
i find the inability to stalk people quite annoying
Now thing of something funny to explain how we know each other.
Its not too difficult
I think i just poked you both
It's not as good a stalker tool though, you can't actually browse someone's profile til they approve. That's no fun!
i don't think I've been poked yet
just to make sure
and what does poking achieve?
you don't know what you've started.
Did i poke IAJ?
I'll ask next question on faceboook
but i was looking in the wrong place so i didn't see it, and it won't let me poke you back
I'll just keep poking you for no apparent reason then.
put we met randomly and then type in the box.
I told you to make something up, not tell the truth Oedipus
I'm Eddie Oedipus!
yes it does.
MySpace's pages are cluttered with banner adverts, pop ups, myspace adverts for new content and lame ass stuff like "you are the 100000000 visitor claim your prize"
all these things are taking away from what MySpace was about, its about My Space, not my space with banner ads, pop ups etc... thats where FaceBook excells, its not got as many ads and its clean, its about the user driven content, not the flashy banner ads, its not cluttered and the attention of the browser doesnt shift from the users content to ads, its all about the sites user generated content
they are pretty much everywhere on t'internet
Web 2.0 is all about user generated content and the ease in which the users can interact with each other.
FaceBook fills that perfectly, the photo hosting, groups and events pages are far superior to MySpace, and as i have seen recently, its trying desperately to catch up, but still failing madly. Even the photo uploads are better on FaceBook.
Plus, i love the plain and simple layout. The last thing you want when navigating profiles or friends is to have slow pageload ups due to stupid backgrounds and lame ass mp3s.
With bandwidth restrictions like Virgin Media is bringing in across the UK and download caps on other ISP's having a simple, plain loading page rather than a large kbs background, moving banner ads and pop ups, FaceBook will give you more time online and give you quicker access
Kev is faster than speed
