Surely nobody does this anymore?

My parents went on holiday this morning, and have asked that either me or my brother be in the house in the evening. This has disrupted my social plans for tonight, as I had planned to go the fopp free gig, and Maria Taylor afterwards. My brother is playing in his darts league (?!) tonight so he can't look after the house.

So do I respect my parents wishes and look after the family home? Or do I go out and watch good music and drink, with the nagging thought of my empty house in the back of my head.

Also, who plays in a darts league?
