I was scared
Bar takings from a Uni Christmas Ball
127 he would of got alot of interest from all dem years
i would be laughing manically.
because I wanted to run away with it and the temptation was almost too much to bear
when I sold my car. It didn't last long.
The car was a nice little runner.
it was very exciting...from selling Mr S's old car
It really didnt last, was fun though
a few hundred nicker probably, when i was cashing up in la shop.
In a rucksack. I have never been as close to leaving the country than at that moment.
in the pub I managed after Christmas and New Year a few years ago.
About the same when I paid my deposit for the flat.
That's it I think.
forget how much, in the tens of thousands though. Working as a bookie on Grand National day. Suckers
on Grand National day when I worked at Ladbrokes.
to buy a laptop
just now. Half a years worth of paper round.
to give to a builder. I was very scared.
flat deposit etc
just over £400
takings from a gig I put on. Most of mine I've ever held was when I bought a four track ages ago 1999?- £350- which given inlation is probably more than the £400, which was very recently
being a bar supervisor i had to count it all etc.
I was organising the staff Christmas lunch. I want thousands though. I've never even held a £50 note!
I don't think I've ever withdrawn more than £40 from an atm. And they don't exactly give £50 notes in change in the paper shop.
however I have held a cheques for over a million(genuinly valid with funds in the account)
and stamped cancelled on it.
after a shift on New Years Eve.
Not much more though, from cashing up at work.
From my own money thoguh, about £800. Had to take it out my bank to give to my mum, I owed her four months' digs, so wasn't mine for long.
It was kinda scary carrying it back on the bus though as it was getting dark.
And I think she wanted cash anyway for some reason...
Not as impressive as others...
My parents had sold their house and that was mum's share of the money (we'd not been living in that house long). My dad had just put in on the table. It was great.
I used to get paid cash-in-hand.
on friday. most of its gone now though
after a DiS event, lol.
which was then stolen from our flat by my bf's brother who 'burgled' us - while he and his bf were living with us - nicked the cash and our passports. He'd only been staying at our flat rent-free for four months while we were away, so I'm sure he was really hard up, like.
when I worked in a betting shop. Damn cameras everywhere meant I couldn't do a runner.
I just felt like playing around with it.
about £200,000 worth of various notes literally in my hands all bundled up when I worked for Natwest bank.
I lost $75K in about 5 minutes trading swiss francs back in the day...and threw up in a trash can outside the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
Took me 3 months of eating spaghetti to get outta that hole.
My manager was too hung over to count so got me to do it. Then he fell asleepat the desk. I figured it wasn't quite enough to fund my new life and identity in Mexico, so just put it all in the envelopes.
In a sack, in the vault of a Travelex wholesale branch.
It was a bit depressing handling more in a couple of hours than I'd earn in my lifetime.
I can imagine all sorts of horrible things happening when they found out.
actually realistically it was probably only a couple of hundred which seems pretty pathetic compared to you people.
when I used to cash up in my old retail job
some people have had a lot of cash in their hands.
Erm, probably a couple of hundred for me. Not much.
in cheque form
