Getting a doctors note
How easy is this? And how much do you have to pay for it? Basically, I am planning on taking next week off work to get a shit load of uni stuff done in one go. I phoned in sick for work about six weeks ago, and so I'm thinking this next occaison may well arouse some suspicions. A doctors note should add weight to my web of deceit
Shall I just waltz in there and tell him I have a really upset stomach? There's no way he can tell I'm lying from that, surely?
Also, I'm currently writing an article about the affect of the Hype Machine on the music industry. When mentioning peer-to-peer networks such as Kazaa, LimeWire etc, is it perhaps not a good idea to refer to them collectively as a "akin to a multi-headed mythical beast"?
say you have done your back in
My brother said that when he needed to ake 2 weeks off work and the doctor wrote him a note straight away. Claim you've pulled a muscle.
Yeah this.
Maybe do some wiki research so your 'symptoms' match up to real ones.
Have you sorted out indesign yet matey?
In the process of getting it all done
So far, so average. But I'm getting there!
need any help, gimme a shout
<3 indesign
Yeah but
I only want a few days. And depression doesn't look too hot on your file
I'm liking the bad back idea so far. But that means I have to act all distressed and be all 'aaah!' when he touches me
haha!
i tried that once.
The doctor told me to shup up, and gave me some breathing exercises or something.
Is it really your birthday today?
Or was that another one of your dastardly lies?
Yes, it actually is
I'm 22 today and I awoke to find about seven cards waiting for me on the doormat. I have had a nice amount of text messages, have been lucky enough to have been given £110 and tonight I am going out for a nice Thai meal
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Thanks!
Happy birthday :D
let's hope the thai meal gives you food poisioning, thus actually needing a sick note.
Remember, karma is a bitch.
They were going to charge me
£18 for a doctor's note when I was ill a couple months ago. I called my boss and got him to speak to the doctor's receptionist - and he said "forget it, I know you are ill" (as I was the day before at work)
Result - but what a rip off!
I thought they were free?
My Doctor gave me on after about 30 seconds of me being there, possibly just to get rid of me. I was like "sorry for wasting your time but my work asks for doctors notes, and I scraped my hand when I fell over drunk last night and its a bit scabby and hurts, can I have a note please?"

Grrr @ Doctors
I had a fall out with my doctor at Christmas. I'm allergic to shellfish and didn't know this at the time, so I ended up having swollen arms, legs & legs. He refused to give me anything 'as my body was sorting out the infection anyways' and after much begging that I was in pain, I nearly had to pay £7 for some tablets until the chemist went 'oh, they are the same as these and only £2'
I know it's only £5 difference, but man was a knob, alright?
legs & legs?
legs & lips. :(
