If you have half a brain, see this film.
i also recommend This Is England and The Lives Of Others.
is brilliant, and I intend to see This Is England first thing Friday when it's released.
saw this in august. yeah. who wants to touch me? I SAID WHO WANTS TO FUCKIN TOUCH ME?
but yeah = really good film. i went with my aunt, who i knew wouldn't like it, and i told her so, but she insisted on seeing it as a friend had recommended it. she thought it was the worst film she'd ever seen, and wanted to walk out from about 5 mins in, but is too polite to disturb people so she sat there and gritted her teeth :P . she doesn't like 'gritty' realistic films about problems and shit.
as part of the Belfast film festival. Powerful film and I thought Ryan Gosling was excellent. I'm just in from seeing The Lives of Others and it is the best film I've seen this year. Absolutely gripping.
they look great, i've seen most of half nelson already but want to see it properly
This really doesn't appeal to me, but I will probably go and see it because of the good reviews.
Odeon = Shit
2 screens that's all they are showing it in.
This means I need to get a train to London if I want to see it.
I listned to the BSC stuff on the soundtrack and I really liked it
can't tell sarcasm?
i was just *jokingly* referring to the fact that i was telling people about this months ago, but now it is good to see other people enjoying it too.
Was that aimed at me
me. for some reason colin doesn't appreciate me joking that i saw this last year, and am now glad more people are seeing it.
There still out to get me.
I worked out I can get this from playusa for £15 quid so i may just do that.
without the Coolio tie-in?
because it looks like one of those Dangerous Minds/Good Will Hunting/Dead Poets Society type shit things. Am I wrong? The only good one of those is 187, which is ace.
is the teacher on crack? No.
WHO'S TO SAY?
Well, ARE YA?
this is 187:
The teacher in 187 is called Trevor Garfield.
It's like all the failure and deprivation in the American school system can be summed up by one unfunny cartoon about a lazy cat.
Teacher's life is basiclaly crumbling around him, becomes a crack addict, kids he teaches are the only thing keeping him going, attempts to stop others from walking down the same path as him... i wont give the endign away
wasn't supposed to sound as sinister as it does.
it kind of looks a bit shit.
Like, amazing teacher comes to shit school, makes lives of kids worthwhile, everyone loves him. Some disasterous misunderstanding takes place, is resolved, everyone is happy.
i might go and see it :)
for the kind of film it is
this is a proper indie film, its not a hollywood film like dangerous minds etc it is seriously good, its all about the acting.
