Getting a cab back from Peterborough on a saturday evening for £120
appreciate this, but it was in order to get back in time for Match of the Day
you just go to a pub or b&b for the night?! that's insane.
I was vetoed
and his mate even offered us a place to stay for free
anyway, it only cost you some bacon, sausages and a bottle of wine!
the fuck were you in Peterborough in the first place. It should be napalmed!
Peterborough vs Hereford
I know a few people caught out by it, and the train back to Bedford last night was crammed with people getting a replacement bus service from Luton (poor them).
If we hadn't got a cab, god only knows what time we would have got home
i had to get a replacement bus service from luton airport on boxing day last year. the driver took us from luton to kings cross down the M1, around the M25 and then up the westway. CRAZY BASTARD.
to hire a car for the day!
have been able to drive it.
To be fair I made a deal that I would pay 33% of it plus buy some wine when we got back and cook some food.
I did well
and cooked plain rice didn't you?
I bought a £4.99 bottle of wine and sausages and bacon.
Still a good deal
I spilt my glass of wine when I threw my plate at the cat
silly King Puck
King Puck? WOW.
it's just what I call him. His real name is Coke.
We have one called Cola too. I didn't name them.
I call them King Puck and Brabantia
I should have asked you to name my dog!
If I get a cat I shall call it Chairman Miaow
But she has no middle name, so give it your best shot.
to show you up on saturday
I'll lend you my hartson shirt.
its a funny word. And its versatile as well. Look:
'devonmalcolm, you are a fucking woofter'.
'just emerged. I'm not capable of getting down the stairs, let alone playing football, so I'm going to have to bail.'
You make me ILL.
should have seen us though
When we got back we drank more. I even drank some chocolate liquor
well be right. There was a lovely pub on a boat though with a nice garden and Stowford Press on tap
we went to the most frightening pub ever, called "The Bee Hive"
It was full of National Front types. It had huge England flags everywhere and was blaring out Rule Brittania.
Fastest drink downed ever?
The bee hive!!!!
I tried to make John change his mind. To no avail
Anyway, the trains still weren't running on Sunday.
