I think my love affair with Dalston is over.

Yesterday, around 4pm on Kingsland High St, surronded by dozens of shoppers, someone tapped me on the arm whilst I was listening to my Ipod. I took my headphones off thinking he was asking for directions when he asks for change for the bus. I explain I don't have any change (which was the truth, besides a few coppers) and kept walking. But he then starts to follow me and stops me again. This time his tone is more agressive: "Give me any money you have or I'll fucking stab you" - and notions that he has something in his pocket. Now knowing what to do I just hand over the only money I have (£20) and he runs off. I stagger my way to the bus stop and try not to burst into tears.

I fucking wish I had shouted or did something to bring attention to it but I didn't know what he was capeable of.

People are fucking cunts sometimes.
