Ive just moved out of Archway. It was a rodent-ridden, garbage dump with muggers everywhere. Why didnt those aliens that showed up a couple of months ago vaporise the place?
bad, dirty part of London with nothing to recommend it other than its reasonably central location, and even then it's on the Northern Line, which is clunky.
Des O'Lynam says NO.
That's more Tuffnell Park way, and I'm not even sure it still exists.
and Pure Groove.
actually. i cant decide
its only better cos of the bus.
its a shithole
Archway is definitely a step down socially even though it's a few steps out geographically.
'nicer' than any i've seen in holloway.
whitehall park is really good if you're into nice houses and quiet streets.
and never saw any of that.
but there are far worse areas of london.
in fact, i think you could claim that about most london areas if you just base it on the scum who hang around outside tube stations trying to pickpocket or sell drugs or whatever.
They don't have them at Holloway Tube - fact.
seem to be quite close together. surely they aren't worlds apart in terms of shiteness?
but Highgate Village is indeed utter poshness.
They're both about the same distance from Archway but you tend to go under Suicide Bridge to get to Highgate.
i'd always pictured the places in my head on the northern line as getting progressively nicer
nicer if you're 40+
it's not too bad.
I never got mugged.
Pure Groove is ace also.
So in summary... Archway is ok, but I'm glad I don't live there anymore... I'm not at all sure that holloway is better.
tavern looks the worst place. They invite you to come to the best indie night. No thank you very much.
