I had a really good one, I went to the Tate Modern & Hamleys. It was awesome. :D
I had to budget for the first time inmy life on Saturday, thus missing the disnic, which angered me greatly. I did see the stills that night though, who were amazing, and somehow the night ended in barfly.
Sunday was spent on my parents balcony, reading and snoozing. The highlight of the day was Lost.
When I was in Kings Cross I thought of you!
don't know what to make of that.....
You live in London
I was in London
No rude thoughts
I live in Hertfordshire.
Walking in the malvern hills, lots of krispy kreme, a visit to my parents, eating out, then over to cardiff for boney3 and PWL and some sitting in the sun, then a drive over to oxford for another boney3 gig, and met oli trademark who luckily let us stay at his house, and now i'm drinking instant coffee and then coming back to London, and then tonight I have a GIG.
It was great! Thanks.
the sun brings out the best in people!
Friday night was spent in front of the tele - HIGNFY, QI and Peep Show goodness. Saturday was spent drinking at Hendon, watching the MOST godawful game ever and then drinking watching Man Utd v Watford.
Yesterday was spent in the garden drinking, reading and avoiding Blackburn v Chelsea. Oh, and watching Tora Tora Tora.
Was brilliant. Also, Borehamwood won 5-4 on the weekend!
I haven't read any reviews of it yet...
I've dipped in and out of the past 3 series, I know I'll like it but I never get round to watching it. I might see what I think of this series and buy all the boxsets. Or something.
I should have made the 3 stop journey on the train. Looked like a cracking game, the complete antithesis of ours.
our dash for the play offs. Those scum AFC Wimbledon won again though, so I think its too little too late.
you may be right.. 5 points in 2 games to make up is probably unlikely. I'm hoping Margate beat AFC to the last playoff spot - it'd be a real shame if they beat us in the last game of the season and AFC dropped points...
Although I sweated a lot. 'kin sunshine. I also had my first ice cream for about 10 years. It were dead nice.
I went to Leciester Square and had one from the Ben&Jerry's place. SO SO SO yummy.
have you recently been let out of some sort of ice-cream embargo or something?
I hate going out in the sunshine, so very rarely do unless someone forces me too. And even if I am outside, I usually go to the boozer rather than the ice cream van. I really let my hair down on Sunday!!!!
I have your Chevron CD here and it's being posted to you tonight :)
I'm just saying that for my reputation...
it involved sweet potato, cider and black, hotpants, deer, and missing trains.
that is all.
*everyone* in the Yates in Milton Keynes 'Theatre District' was though. I have never seen so much leg on display in my life!
I seen a girl do it, with some wedge heels. Lush.
Sugababes - good, but i think that the fact that we enjoyed singing along to the new Avril Lavigne video on the big screen (words included) more than the actual gig... speaks for itself.
SCLs night - Ebony Bones are awesome. thanks.
Saturday - betting and losing £8 on the grand national, rubbish. no one doing a shot with me at ROTA, rubbish. Youth Movies, amazing. Deftones, AMAZING.
sunday - feeling hungover but going to a pub quiz which we NEARLY WON - who knew that snow patrol had the highest selling album of 2006 over razorlight and keane? and who cares? hmph.
Maybe you should have asked me?
i don't. i really don't. that was worth £90 too. dammit.
Bearing in mind the obvious question that you did feel the need to ask me, you then left that one?!
dammit. and shut up, the question is only easy if you know the answer.
But anyone who doesn't know the lyrics to Karma Chameleon should, in my mind, be beaten to death.
or... red gold and green.
OH FUCK THERE'S A SPIDER ON MY DESK!!!!!!!!!
Every day is like survival.
it's really tiny but... :(
I'm a man who doesn't know.
You come and go
You come...and go.
well, it amused me.
Good work :D
one of the guys I work with kindly threw a spider that was on his desk at me the other day.
taunting me. i've stood up and nearly been hit in the face by one little bugger swinging on his thread.
It nearly hit you in the face! Think of the damage the poor, defenceless, roughly 1/1000th of your size creature will do! It could tie you up with its silk, and spend 82 billion years smashing repeatedly into your face and the most damage it would cause it making you want to sneeze slightly.
it could have got stuck in your hair or fallen in your mouth!
do you know nothing?
I may've contributed to your downfall then as I have that album. remember when we went to see them? and we fell asleep?
thanks for asking.
been waiting for payday, which is TODAY! :D
The most exciting thing to happen yesterday was starting to use i-tunes instead of windows media player.
Oh and i did try celeraiac for the first time, its just like celery.
then sat in the garden on Sunday feeling 'dainty' then all friends went home and felt all sad and reflective.
I bought new socks and threw out all my old ones, much to everyone's relief. I also got 3 new tops, a pair of jeans and a pair of black trousers (oh and some pants with giraffes on). I had my haircut and highlighted, I feel like a new woman.
Sat was my dad's 60th. We had a suprise party in the evening which was lovely. Most of the day had been spent in the garden enjoying the sunshine.
Yesterday, not much, went to Asda, ate a trifle, Sunday stuff.
what about the puppy?!
in case I become 'annoying girl who always goes on about her puppy' . . .
We had to leave her for a few hours on Sat to go to my dad's party, she was so excited when we returned she wee'd all over the floor, awww.
look, the DiS clock is back on time!
Damn it. I'm leaving.
tee hee. No really I do.
Saw 120 Days on Friday, and they were terrific.
Saw Gggrits on Saturday and they were also terrific, along with Screaming Tea Party, who were mental as only Japanese bands can be.
Watched Chelsea batter our way through to another Cup Final and then watched 'Killing Me Softly', which Channel Five had cut into so many bits that it didn't make any sense whatsoever.
it was pretty gash. and so obvious.
went into town Friday night to celebrate my brothers bithday (of which he afforded me an hour of his precious time before swanning off to another shindig!) got drunk and ate pizza at 1am.
Saturday - Soccer AM, breakfast at the cafe on the corner, put some bets on the National and the footy, went to watch Sutton United, lost all my betting money as results came in, got drunk and rolled to bed at 2am
Yesterday - watched Chelsea and enjoyed another victory, read the rest of "Starter for 10", ate some dinner and slobbed around.
Friday was just like any other day.
Saturday afternoon I went into town to buy alcohol, then sat watching Sky Sports News crying.....I then watched Man United kill Watford, before heading to my mate's 18th birthday party. I had a six-pack of Miller, got drunk, made up with a best friend, then came home, listened to music....
a girl vomiting on her own feet, and a guy smoking crack in a plastic bottle.
next to a giant gay bar under an arch? i'm sure you'd know it. near daniels flat.
it was about 10am on a sunday morning.
around the corner from fire, he'd clearly been in there. on the way back, he tried to sell me some crack. he was shaking a lot, so not really the best advert.
What if he'd said, "You should have seen how much I was shaking before I tried crack..."
I know that underpass well.
a lovely DiSnic with everyone, lots of food, bad sporting activities and banter.
Then to Youthmovies who I am seriously thinking put on the best show I've seen all year (AND I spoke to Mike Diver. He was quite drunk.)
Then yesterday drove back up to Bath, sat in a pub and ate nice food with parents, drank cider, met my friends and spent the afternoon lazing by the lake drinking magners and playing american football. Lush.
pretending to be a tourist on the South Bank, eating an ice lolly in the sunshine, lovely.
yesterday was especially lovely. Went for a dim sum breakfast at midday, then lazed in the park for hours, had a slush puppie (my decision to buy a slush puppie instead of an ice lolly is one of the best decisions i've ever made).
Then went to the pub quiz and disappointingly lost by 1 point, but i did win the new bright eyes album on a bonus round.
Hopefully you'll be able to sell it though, right?
*to bamos' stupid face
but I heard most of the new album in Fopp, it's brilliant and I want it.
i'm not sure what i think of it so far, but yesss. go buy. fopp also have lots of his older albums cheap at the moment as well, if you like the sound of this one definitely get "i'm wide awake, it's morning".
But I thought they were meant to be cool, and now that I own a bright eyes album, I too would be cool.
Friday - Went to Sumo after work. Had a couple of drinks. Drove mates home. One of them was almost sick in the car, it was a close call.
Saturday - Housewarming party. Got asked to be the drummer in my mates band. I can't drum. I said yes. I laughed lots with people I hadn't seen for awhile.
Sunday - Barbecue. My mother burnt everything. Saw the missus briefly, she is all poorly sick :(
I also read a lot this weekend, I'm now 3/4 of the way through Wizard And Glass.
Friday: afterwork drinks then Gem's night at the Water Rats, which was great. I love Ebony Bones so much.
Saturday: Picnic with DiSers in Regent's Park. I brought far too much food and also ate far too much. Brooner had to take my surplus home. Then RoTa, then we went to the Pool Bar only to discover that Daniel had the wrong date for the Lovvers gig. So we ate Chinese and drank in various amusing Shoreditch holes, mainly for Sumemrs and Stealthy's benefit.
Sunday: Sat on my balcony all day in the sun, reading. Then went to Le Sac vs Pip at 93 Feet East in the evening. Then went home and sat on my balcony again, till about 2am. Good times.
Friday I went to see Butcher Boy at the Lumi. My friend had just got dumped. I tried to cheer himup. We ended up in Trailer Trash in Shoreditch. Took drugs at some point. Got home at 5am, watched the new Peep Show which was hysterical. Went to bed but wouldn't sleep so listened to Stars Of The Lid for AGES.
Saturday my friend had a BBQ. It was well nice. Then i went to fucking Radlett for a family dinner. Friday night caught up with me so I went home.
Sunday I went round the market and then I saw Cocorosie. They were good. The crowd were not.
Saturday - mooched around, went into London but didn't go to RoTa and I'm not sure why :( Bought some CDs.
Sunday - Went to the pub with a friend who was going back to uni. Drank heavily in the afternoon and fell asleep early evening. Feel tired and fed up today.
Friday - Few drinks in my house and then down to the Cluny to watch some bands.
Saturday - Up and in work for 6am with a severe hangover. Finished everything I had to do so went home at 7.30am and watched Peep Show (which I really enjoyed). Had band practice, went to pub. Came home, went to sleep. Got up and went to the pub again.
Sunday - Food shopping, football on the beach and then a couple of beers.
Picnic in the park with lovely people, RoTa- with good music, also many drinks in random and slightly concerning bars. I want Jamie to read Mills and Boon to me again. :)
Heh. Jamie reading Mills and Boon out loud is one of the highlights of my life so far.
mine too. I'm going to trawl the charity shops for some more Mills and Boon gold!
to record Mills and Boon podcasts and put them on his blog.
there was a stash of mills and boon which my flatmate would read from to get us in the mood for neighbours.
Good football, good filming, great weather.
the quiet girl from the office finally came out with us and got mashed on laughing gas and i fell in love with her! AWESOME lol!
then on saturday the pub garden/Deftones thing was wickeder good,
then on Sunday the work/pub garden thing was also mucho nice.
plus this week is going to be very good too. I feel too positive
-Threw party. Was 'mental'.
-Lazed in garden on Saturday
-Watched BRMC last night
Not as good as it sounds unfortunately.
