Is it a good thing? Yes or No answers plz...
I'd say yes.
Stub it out...right out!
bad for people who don't like the smell of pubs without snoke- sweaty and beery.
but when you come home your clothes stink. I'd rather that wasn't the case..
Ban comes into force on April 30th here. Is it the same for England and Wales?
wales already started i think, england is july.
but now i say yes.
because i am a HYPOCRITE.
but srsly i could go on at boring length about the health inequalities that will be intensified by the ban: that it will only really benefit those who are less likely to contract smoking-related illnesses anyway, that it deflects attention from the real culprit for causing the massive increase in respiratory illness: the car, etc etc blah blah blah.
Yes, it's a good thing.
won't smell like smoke when I get back from the pub quiz on a Tuesday night. For that reason alone I am looking forward to the smoking ban being enforced
so i'm listening to a calvin johnson album, and i'm still completely unable to work out if i actually like him or not. what's that all about?
and yes again.
i went to edinburgh last month, and i went to some pubs. When i left the pub i didn't stink of cigarettes, this is a good thing
but as usual, its the government making a big hoo-ha about something relatively trivial to detract from the real issues.
but this is interesting:
wait a minute - aren't WE paying that fine FOR them... Hmmm...
and i'm a smoker!
and I look forward to punching the faces of 'rebels' who light up in pubs.
I just don't do it anymore but anyone reading this who is 16 should be at least on 10 SIlk Cut per Clap Your Hands Say Yeah! gig otherwise what is there to live for?
only because passive smoking is lethal and unfair. You don't need cigarettes to enjoy yourself do you? I don't smoke and never have but it'd be nice to go home not smelling of other people's tabacco and to breathe easily in an enclosed space. Plus no more watching desperate friends 'shark' cigarettes off bemused strangers who charge £1 for one.
its always about the individual - says so much about modern times really doesn't it. The Toby generation.
now - let's ban cars and drinking! Now one lobby has asserted its political nous the rest will follow - espeically the latter - watch this space - YAYSPLAT
no-one agrees with me at all...
I fully intend to use it as an incentive to give up properly.
and I don't just mean the proles who don't count anyway.
